Our server was wonderful and very attentive. The restaurant has a vintage Italian vibe. We had pasta dinners and they were decent. The next time we will get the pizza. We saw others with pizza and it looked delicious!

Service is excellent, food was great only wish the meatball was homemade.the pasta me and my wife had was excellent if you like garlic which I do there was plenty on mine. The garlic rolls were also great.if your in the area its a must yo try. We will definitely be back to try there pizza all the ones I seen coming out to other customers looked great.

Excellent, as usual! One of the few places offering “meat” ravioli! Excellent! Not even Olive Garden offers that. The complimenting sauce was perfect and TRUE garlic bread, not just some butter spread with garlic powder. Kudos to Carlo’s Trattoria! Very reasonably priced! I’ll be back AND I live in Painesville, OH.

We really liked going to Carlo’s, as it had a small town feel, the food was good, and it always felt special. We were turned away 1 hour before closing several months ago and shrugged it off. It happens, right? We tried again tonight 1.5 hours before closing and were turned away again and the place wasn’t even half full. This really ticked us off. Won’t be back for a long while. No excuse to turn customers away when you still say open.

I know it’s just me, but their pasta sauce was too spicy as I like it more tomato tasting. It was good and the too small salad was fresh with a too sweet house Italian dressing. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent

Absolutely delicious. If you enjoy REAL FOOD you will enjoy this. We had the pizza, Alfredo, Zuppa, Tiramisu and Cannoli. The Cannoli was stuffed on order

Oh man, I really wanted to love this place! It’s okay, not terrible, but not great, either. My husband ordered mozzarella sticks to start, and I know he speaks with an accent, but I didn’t think it was that bad of an accent to make the server think he said “cheesy garlic bread”. She said it as she was walking away and had to stop her and clarify that he actually said “mozzarella sticks”. I read Carlo’s story and it said his favorite dish to make was Eggplant Parmigiano, so I knew what I was going to order. Dinner entrées come with a side of soup or salad, which is said nowhere on the menu, but very easy to add, and it comes with a side of garlic bread, again, stated nowhere, but easy to add. I’m not upset about it or anything, I think that kind of information should be stated on the menu. And two of the salads are basically the same, actually. The tossed salad and house salad are the same if you add cheese to the tossed salad for $2 extra (and in doing so it’s still 50 cents cheaper than the house salad. ) Anyways, just a few, easy things that could really go a long way.

I used to go to this place before and it was amazing, The waitresses are always nice and friendly. But the experience with the food this time it was not up to par. The garlic bread was hard and the portion of food I got was not the greatest. With this one experience, I will not be going back.

A coworker recommended this place for lunch and he was right. Stopped here twice for lunch and it was very good food. Fresh vegetables and fresh made to order food. The place is clean (They could do better in the restroom maybe some Lyson or Pinesol), the staff are very nice and they make sure you are taken care off. Highly recommend this place for a good Italian food experience and their soup of the day at worth a try.

If you want Italian food, this is not the place! This is the furthest from Italian you can get. Besides skimpy helpings for a carry out order, the Gnocchi was nearly floating in water because it wasn’t drained properly which left the sauce runny, looked and tasted like canned tomatoes, it was awful!! The Chicken Alfredo dinner with the dry, overcooked, rubber chicken and the skimpy, tasteless alfredo sauce left a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
