If it wasn’t for my wife’s strange obsession with their queso & chicken fingers with honey mustard, we would be unlikely to visit a Carlos O’Kelly’s. There are lots of better options.

Had a wonderful experience here.
Chris was a very efficient & friendly server. Very attentive. You need more like her. Mindy & rest of the staff was very helpful & friendly also. The food was affordable & delicious! It was ready faster than any restaurant I’ve been to recently. I definitely recommend this place!

It was a late lunch early dinner for us. You walk in and seat yourself. We sat for a while while they decided who was going to take the table.
I did what Mom always said and ate dessert first. Raspberry Cheesecake Empanadas. I had them leave off the sprinkles. Yum.
My table had a taco salad, chimichanga and two enchiladas. Chicken enchiladas one diablo sauce which was ok on creamy sauce one which appeared to have some melted cheese on it but definitely not creamy. None the less all tasted ok. Their soda/pops were very large glasses. It was very quiet and an enjoyable space. Restrooms clean.

Our appetizer was served with our meal. It took a little while to get our drink order and food ordered.
I had the fajita cheese crisp as an appetizer it was ok. My chicken pacado (spelling??) Was ok. I got fries (bland unseasoned) and traditional rice, it look as if it was scrapped off the bottom of a pot that had been cooking all day. It completely killed my appetite. The waitress and manager were both kind and took the food off our bill and discounted our meal as well. Service was slow but acceptable, food quality has gone down hill. But I appreciate that my concern was addressed.

I have come to this Carlos many times over the last several years and always been happy.
Today was a different experience. Different enough that I won’t be back. Seat yourself…that was fine but there was only one booth and it wasnt cleared. Being a waitress in the past I totally understand when you are busy or short handed that it can be frustrating. However, there was one gal on the phone and one doing something by the pop glasses. So we sat at the booth and waited patiently….then a very loud staff member raised her voice and told us to move because she wasn’t clearing a booth over us. We got up and said that it was the only booth left. She loudly and rudely said “that’s why we have tables and chairs. She didn’t say another word while cleaning the table off and was clearly angry.
We chose to leave because other customers were watching and it was humiliating. I’m 67 yrs old and was being polite and respectful. Her behavior was unacceptable. I hope Carlos takes a look at who they are employing and how they treat your customers. It won’t affect me because I won’t be back.

Good food and good price. No where else will you find Irish-Mexican food!! Glasses of Pepsi are large and the salsa is good. Kind of skimp on the veggies in the fajita dishes.

Waited forever to get our drinks. Took forever to get our food, food wasn’t even warm. My quesadilla didnt have veggies in it like it was supposed to, they remake it and barely any veggies in it. A friend I was with found a black hair in her food, we told the waitress and she grabbed it and made a snide comment about how it was my friends hair but my friend doesnt have black hair. Our men sat there without anything to drink for a good 20-30mins. Waitress came back rude and argued with us that it was my friend’s hair. The manager took care of us after the waitress seemed like she didn’t want to because things weren’t going good. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant to begin with, and when we got there no one greeted us, just a sign telling us to seat ourselves in a certain area but we have never been to this location, the employees didn’t ask us if we needed help, we had to ask them where we were supposed to sit. Never had an experience like this at any Carlos but after this experience we will not return to this location.

The food was okay…it’s just that the waitress did not take the order correctly. I repeated it a couple of times and she added that it even didn’t come with onion. They were not that busy so I’m confused why why asking for no onions was so hard to remember or why it came with them in my food…I just ate it picked them out and left. Won’t probably be back.

Sadly, I must admit I think this once lovely place to dine is going the way of the dino. They never seat you in the back anymore and that is the really cool experience of this place. The bar area is drab and beat up. Now it appears they have changed their chips…after a gazillion years. Screams desperation
