We stopped here for dinner and the food here was awful. As you can see from the photos they gave us food that had been previously made and reheated. We ordered for the five of us and two of the meals were not what we ordered and then the waitress said, “Oh that must be why the other table said their order was wrong.”. They gave them our food. The food served that was correct was barely passable as warm and the sizzling fajitas had no sizzle at all. They forget the tortillas for two meals also. Overall it was a terrible experience. The restaurant’s lighting is awful and makes reading the menus difficult. I don’t think there was even a manager there. They made no effort to apologize for their mistake only to not charge us for the 2 meals they never delivered. We didn’t even touch the ones they left. The cheese dip was awful too and tasted like Velveeta cheese with onions and tomatoes. Carlos O’Kelly’s used to be a great place to dine, personally we will never return again.

I’m really mixed on this review. I made a reservation, and While, the food was decent. I fell that carlos o Kelleys could have done better with their customer service. We, waited for over 20 minutes on our food, when we were about to receive our food. The waitress, dropped our food, of course it took longer to receive our food after that. Close, to a whole hour later since arriving! We received some drinks and the last round we had, was just horrid. When raising our concern about the length of receiving our food and receiving possible good gesture for our long wait. We, were received with giggles and a flat, no.
I’m really saddened of how trashy the customer service was here, and I’m honestly sad to say that there is an obvious reason this chain is doing so poorly in sales and that’s due to their crappy customer service.

The food was delicious. The customer service was fast, friendly and quite amazing. My waiter Kevin was so wonderful with his manner and he made sure everything was perfect. He made the experience wonderful.

We went on a Friday at noon. The place was maybe 1/3 full and was told it was a 30 min wait, which I thought the host was kidding. He wasn’t. We did get seated after 20 min. We ended up leaving after 90 min, the food took a very long time to come out and wasn’t hot. Clearly the server was overworked, that’s not her fault. I watched people get up and refill their own drinks. Management set their employees up for failure that day. In a market in Manhattan, this place isn’t going to make it.

Ordered to go chicken and rice Fajitas with vegetables and I feel robbed. I was given a portion that is about the size of a quarter of the portion that I would have gotten a couple months ago. I asked for a side of rice and they put the side of rice into a small sauce container that is about the amount of one or two bites. Was given cheese but the container was still filled to an amount that would make you think this place is running out of food and money. Very dissatisfied and disappointed and wish I had spent my money somewhere else .

I ordered the birria beef chimichanga. The beef was plain cooked beef roast, no special seasonings. Tasted like plain roast beef, not at all what I expected based on Mexican flavors and birria recipes I’ve read. Very disappointing. Also vegetables are quite scarce on the menu. I like veggies but found predominantly chicken, some meat, and starchy foods. I don’t care for the current menu and miss the spinach enchiladas.

When we tried to go in I know it was late but they heavily insinuated that they didn’t want to serve us and that they would rush us. We knew at that point we wouldn’t get quality service. God forbid people have things pop up and are not able to make it early enough for them. If your kitchen wants to close earlier than 10pm they need to change their hours online.

Amazing as always. I live in Lincoln Ne and I drove 2 hours to eat here so if that tells ya about how good this place is! The queso is a must. As far as entrees go, “Esancho Especial” is where it’s at! Servers are great and quick with everything as well, even during busy game days down in Manhattan. Overall great experiences every-time!
