I am visiting my family and we dined here last night. We decided to sit at the bar. The food was delicious, I ordered the Diablo Pasta with shrimp per recommendation. The $3.50 margaritas were amazing and not to mention, Lily was a magnificent bartender!

Okay so we usually go here during the off hours, so only a few people are there. This time we ended up going during dinner rush and the wait staff was amazing! Still got to our refills and checking on us and being amazing the whole time! 10/10!

Decided to stop in on Thursday because I haven’t been to Carlos okellys in about 3 years. This place is nothing like what it used to be. For starters , we ordered the cheese and chips. Its hard to mess up cheese and chips but they did. The cheese taste like they burned it in the bottom of the pan, it was honestly repulsive. I let it go though, thinking maybe the food would be better. I ordered the chimi el Dorado and my girlfriend ordered a burrito. She took 2 bites and didnt want to eat anymore it was that bad tasting. I ate about half , only because I took a few bong rips in the car beforehand. I will never go back to this place and I hope nobody wastes money here either. Also the waiter was chewbacca . He needs some hygiene maintaining. Nobody wants their food server to be covered with a gross beird and body hair. Not to mention he was very dismissive and didnt ask us about the food or anything when he seen we weren’t into the food.

I’m more of a taco truck, six pack of beer, picnic table in a park kind of person. An “inspired” Iowa-Mex-Irish via Texas menu is perfect for this mall parking lot location. For me it’s as if Taco Bell hooked up with Taco John’s then moved to 1984 and started serving food. A place where you take a kid whose afraid to try Mexican food or the grandparents who’s taste buds have see better days. I came for the happy hour which in the racket of the Margarita world isn’t to bad. Half price Margaritas with complimentary chips and salsa. The good service, friendly staff and nice people watching make this a decent stop for a Margarita happy hour from time to time. Enjoy!

Love the staff here they are very friendly and polite… Their food is really good… And usually we don’t have to wait for ever to get a table… Plus they bring you chips and salsa pretty much right away so if your really hungry this helps until your food gets there!;

Traveled 1.5hours just to eat here since the one closest to us closed down. It was worth the drive 🙂 food and service was amazing. The San Carlos is my go to.

Food was generally ok, wouldn’t say it was good. Blandest Fries I’ve had in my life, especially considering they are called “cantina fries”, they have zero seasoning. Waitress thought is was funny that she brought me the wrong tables bill with 3 times the amount on it than mine should’ve been. Won’t be back
