I wouldn’t say this is your typical NJ Pizza Joint. It actually has a nice seating area when you go around the wall to your left. No, it would handle large groups. But. the space it neat and decorated nicely. It’s not benches and tables
The guy at the counter was very friendly. Took our orders right away and brought the food to our table.
The pizza was good. It wasn’t floppy. The deep dish pepperoni was a bit burnt, but was still flavorful.
Carlo’s Gourmet Pizza is worth checking out.

Been living in town for over 10yrs and finally found this spot. The pizza is awesome, good hold, nice crust, no flop, and sauce is nice n lil sweet. From plain slice to pepperoni to grandma to my fav of chix bacon ranch. The garlic knot chicken parm sandwich was good but was very doughy (obviously). Chicken parm was decent and could use some more seasoning. All in all, great neighborhood pizza spot.

We hosted my daughter’s birthday party here on 3/8/25. The adorable party room blew us away. The room was set up when we walked in and the balloons arrived early and were already placed in the right spots. The room is adorable and the overall party experience is even better! Laurie was the best host. Parties can fit up to 50 people, 20 kids making pizza. Each kid gets a pizza board, sauce, and cheese to make their pie! It was the best experience and highly recommend it. Already planning our next party!

The riceball special was full of salt. They put a little bit of ricotta and mos cheese on it. The overall taste was awful and the presentation the same. The pizza was just okay. I won’t be going back. There are too many pizza places to visit where you can get good food.

I lived in Marlboro 20 years ago, so when I was visiting the old neighborhood, I was pleasantly surprised to see Carlo’s still in business. I didn’t see Maria, but the same great food, etc… some traditions should never change!!

We just held our son’s 4th birthday party (8/3/25) where the kids got to be hands-on with each making their own individual pizzas. We were able to order off the catering menu for the adults. The experience was great! Staff was super friendly and accommodating. We brought our own cupcakes for dessert (without any additional fees) and the price is reasonable. Would highly recommended considering this venue for any child’s birthday party!

I can’t speak to the pizza, but I was really disappointed in their penne vodka and chicken parm. The vodka sauce had no flavor, was super thin, and basically tasted like unsalted butter. The chicken parm was slightly better in that it had some taste, but the sauce really just tasted like very salty tomato.

My experience at Carlo’s was good, everything was tasty, the only thing I didn’t like is that they are very cheap with the cheese, and that the type of mozzarella in the vodka pizza seems like paper and doesn’t melt, and the crust of my pizza was very hard and dry.
