Today was first time my husband and I went to this establishment. To say we are disappointed, was an understatement. We witnessed the cooks warming up our food in the microwave to melt the cheese. The rice is crunchy and tasted like it had been sitting out for days. The been the beans taste like they were from a can and we ended up throwing up both of our plates in the trash.

Been open since 1986. This some of the best Mexican food around! We to visit when we come to the city. The food is always delicious and they are very consistent! Still as delicious today as it was then! The staff is always friendly. The restaurant and bathroom is always clean.

A good, solid place for Americanized “Mexican” food! It brought back memories of a little place I visited in my youth. The guys working were so kind and patient with our questions. They made sure we were happy with our first experience at their restaurant! Nice, clean place, too. There were a lot of to-go orders while we were there.

I have a particular affinity for local dives, and this is one that the local natives have a longstanding affinity. I feel there is something to be said about loyalty. Nestled in a strip mall/square, Carlitos sits waiting for diners to stop in and grab a quick bite of Tex Mex that seems to rarely change. Grab a beef burrito platter. You won’t be disappointed. It’s quiet, you won’t have to wait, nor will you have to talk over loud music. Cheap prices.

I currently work with a couple of their past employees and they’ve never told me a bad story about people doing things to the food to the people that come in rude, or people they don’t like.
They’ve told me about how they would clean thoroughly every night when it was time to close, and how every morning they would make the salsa, cook the meat, etc. They inherently took pride in their work and the same could be said about everyone that has worked there and/or still does.
Always polite, always helpful and patient with me when I don’t quite know what it is I want to get that day. They’re even happy to bring the food to the table!
The food is good, too. They’ll never score points for fancy plates and silverware, but that’s not even necessary. The food itself is really good!
I’d suggest the chicken taco salad and an order of cinnamon crisps. Be prepared to wear cinnamon and sugar!
10/10 would recommend. 3 out of 5 stars. Wouldn’t change a thing. #HailNimrod
