Well, first I’ll say the view from the patio is great, we were there on a nice day and you can see for quite a while. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got there early, not long after they opened, for happy hour drinks and tacos. Drinks and food came out fairly quickly at that point. The margarita was a bit smaller than expected, and I don’t think it was smaller for happy hour. And I understand they recently changed the house Tequila, it is no longer 100% agave tequila which is disappointing for the price. The tacos were great, but over five bucks each at happy hour price, I would think it should be a dollar or two less, but I know all food is expensive now. We ordered more drinks, and it had gotten more busy, and they took quite a while to come out…similar complaint as other reviews. What we were thinking would be some tacos in a couple drinks still ended up being about $80. So mixed feelings, scenery was great, people were great, just a bit spendy.

I recently visited Carlita’s for my birthday. We had such a wonderful time. We were greeted upon arriving through the Gordon Hotel. Once inside Carlita’s it wasn’t long before we were greeted & seated in a cozy lounge area. The atmosphere is incredible, with different options for seating. Our meal was delicious, drinks were great and our server was top notch. Definitely going back, I would love to check out the outdoor seating in the warm months, such a neat view of downtown Eugene.

A very nice restaurant on the rooftop of the Gordon hotel. Drinks and food were great. The short rib tostado was super good. The ahi cevichie was also very fresh and full of flavor. Definitely coming back!

On a Saturday night this place was packed with a line to get in. Despite that we were seated in just a few minutes.

The chips and salsa were great. I recommend getting three salsas as the chip portion is generous. The avocado crema salsa was my favorite.

Strawberry margarita was delicious as well. The tacos had good portions of meat but the tortillas were store bought. Made in restaurant would take them to the next level!

We went around 4pm on 4/15 hoping to snag some drinks and happy hour. We were seated promptly and offered water right away but unfortunately it was not long after that we could not get anyone to take our order and ask if there was anything else we needed. The restaurant was not that busy (they open at 4pm) and there was a lot of staff just waiting around chatting amongst themselves. It felt like we were bothering them when we did ask for something. I don’t recommend this place but it is a pretty restaurant with a great view. Might be nice if you just want a place to take some nice pictures of the town.

Greg was not only a fantastic bartender but also an unexpectedly wonderful guide to the entire experience. He knew the menu inside and out, offering thoughtful recommendations that made the meal even better. On top of that, he shared great insights about the city, where to go, what to try, and how to make the most of our time there. His combination of skill, warmth, and local knowledge made the night feel genuinely special.

Not sure why this was rated as low as it was, I found this experience to be particularly excellent. Our server was excellent, the food absolutely delicious and great menu choices, the seating was so comfy and you had a choice of dining table, couches or outside seating (weather permitting of course). Everything flowed efficiently and the food came out at a really good pace. The atmosphere has a relaxed vibe. We chose the couches with a nice (about) 360 view of the city. What’s not to like? I know this place is newer or maybe people dolidnt know what to expect. This would make a great date spot or a casual social lunch with friends.

The food and ambiance were so nice! Our favorite taco was the carne asada, our favorite salsa was the pineapple. I love the seasoning on the chips We sat by a window and the view was amazing despite the rain.

Our server was so lovely and helpful. I think she had a lot of tables or something, because periodically another server would come over and help her out. It did seem like everything came out pretty slowly.

Awesome place. Seems to have a bad rep on the google reviews, but I can’t imagine why. Beautiful restaurant with incredible views. Service was tremendous, food was delicious, and prices were unbelievable (during Happy Hour — five dollar pints, five dollar tacos).

This restaurant has a great view, nice food, but we came into poor service with our waitress. Short hair, glasses, many arm tattoos, Nice enough gal, but couldn’t get a drink for 20 minutes. We watched four other groups be sat after our order was taken and they received their drinks and complementary salsa and chips ten minutes before us. We only got our salsa after asking at the same time we were ready to ask for the check. I’m someone who who has worked in the food industry for many years so I may be nitpicky. Please do better Carlita’s, I’d love to recommend.
