My favorite restaurant since I was a kid! I have never had a bad experience or any complaints about Carinis until recently. I ordered 2 large pizzas for delivery a few weeks ago. The total for the pizzas (with tax) was $29.18. Of course I had a delivery fee and tipped online so paid a total of $38.08, but overall ended up paying $87.08 for TWO large pizzas. When the delivery arrived I asked my brother to run to the car to grab the order just to be helpful (they typically get out and bring the order to you). I saw my brother go to his vehicle and grab some money and wasn’t too concerned knowing they would let him know it’s already been paid for. When they pulled away I asked to confirm he did not pay them since it was already paid for and he said yeah I gave them $49.00. So I stopped the delivery person and asked which they responded “no, they didn’t take any additional money. It was paid online and also stated they were the manager and wouldn’t do something like that”, I noticed there was a passenger who was drinking a beer which I thought was odd. So I went back to ask my brother exactly what happen. He said the delivery driver was talking on her phone so pointed at the passenger to talk to who told my brother it would be $43.00 and my brother handed him $49.00 (2 $20, 1 $5 and 4 $1). So I called the restaurant to tell them what happen and I said the driver said they were the manager which they said was not true. Whoever I spoke with on the phone had the delivery driver call me who repeatedly told me that my brother gave her $4.00 tip and that was it. When I communicated that the money was handed to the passenger the delivery person then made it evident that they were annoyed about the fact that we delivered “so late” (which was an hour before they closed) and said they had to go pick up the passenger because our order was so “late” and denied taking the $49.00. So I have disputed my $38.08 with my credit card company which I more than likely will not get back without documentation-supporting the claim. I did not pursue this any further with the restaurant as the delivery person was calling me nonstop and telling me the police were at the restaurant. Being it was her word over mine I do not know why she called the police and wanted me to come speak to them? It was about 10:00pm by this point and I was not planning on leaving the house which is obviously why I had the food delivered. Very disappointed as this has always been my favorite place, but will no longer be able to support this business after that incident.

I don’t know who the people that own this place got working in there but the racist comments that were just made to me will not slide. We ordered two salads to go and they tried to act like we were going to rob them. The lady who answered the phone said to another coworker “Don’t LEAVE FROM RIGHT HERE UNTIL I CLOSE THIS REGISTER”. The cook that brought are food looked like why would you say that We will not deal with stuff like this in America anymore! So we need to start making reviews when stuff like this happens. That was stereotypical of her to say.

The pictures below aren’t the best… However, Carini’s has amazing food. This was a first time visit, and I had tortellini Vesuvio with chicken, and alfredo sauce. It came with a nice house salad, and garlic bread. The people were very friendly, and the food didn’t take long at all. Try the Limoncello cake! It’s the best I’ve had in years! I will definitely come back soon!

Travel northeast from North Carolina stopped to check it out. Wonderful staff, willing to accommodate. Ordered Meat Lover’s Stromboli – it was huge, best ever had and big cup of marinara. Also Chicken Cheese sub combo – fries were hot and real diced chicken. Sweet tea is just that – delicious.

One of the best Italian restaurants in this area. The portions are huge and no skimping on ingredients everything is delicious. The desserts are amazing. It’s nice to place an order and it be ready exactly when they say it will be. The prices are very affordable. The staff is friendly and welcoming.
