The very first time that I have ever heard of Caribou Coffee was when it was in most Hy-Vee stores when I was really young, and the very first time that I have ever drank the Caribou Coffee brand was when I was about 10 or 11 years of age. When I first drank something from the Caribou Coffee brand, I did it when me and my mother would go into the Hy-Vee Gas Station (nowadays known as “Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh”), and get ourselves a cup of coffee either inside the gas station part of the building or go through the drive thru for the Caribou Coffee location connected to the gas station. With an unwavering love of coffee at Caribou Coffee, the chain of coffee shops continues their commitment to responsible sourcing, real ingredients, and the highest standards for taste and quality across Caribou Coffee’s entire menu. Caribou Coffee is also known for helping their communities around the globe by integrating sustainable practices that limit the coffeehouse chain’s environment footprint and have a positive impact on people, and the entire planet of Earth. Caribou Coffee has their own brand of caffeinated beverages called “BOUsted”, the drinks that are considered BOUsted can include sparkling waters, craft sodas, and even fruit juices. There is also tea drinks, breakfast foods, baked goods, bags of ground coffee, smoothie mixes, metal cups, and even ceramic coffee mugs sold and served at Caribou Coffee. The food and drinks at Caribou Coffee are made with fresh and real ingredients because the chain of coffee shops is committed to sourcing organic ingredients to their menu items. For example, Caribou Coffee is committed to sourcing 100% of their coffee from Rainforest Alliance farms, supporting biodiversity, conservation and also improving communities for the farmers that support Caribou Coffee. The chain of coffeehouses makes their handcrafted beverages with clean label ingredients, such as real chocolate chips and caramel. Caribou Coffee is also committed sourcing cage-free eggs (eggs used in Caribou Coffee’s All-Day Breakfast menu) in their primary and secondary supply globally, and is planning to meet this commitment by the year of 2025.
When I usually go to the Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh convenience store, I get a roast of Caribou Coffee’s ground up and liquified coffee and mix in with flavors creams, syrups, and specialty flavored cappuccinos from the coffee dispensers inside the gas station. In the past, me and my mother have gone inside the Caribou Coffee shop part of the Hy-Vee Fast and Fresh convenience store or went through the drive-through window for the weekly happy hour held on Monday-Friday and got our selves a frozen and blended drink called the “Turtle Mocha Cooler”. I have also had the Mint Condition Mocha myself too, which is another frozen and blended coffee beverage like the Turtle Mocha Color but it is a different flavor. I have to say that both theCaribou Coffee location and Hy-Vee Fast and Fresh convenience store always have good service whenever customers purchase things that they want.
If customers are looking for a coffee shop that makes their food and drinks out of real ingredients that are farm fresh, I would recommend that Caribou Coffee is the place to visit and eat food from as the food and drinks made of fresh ingredients taste even better than artificial flavors, sweeteners, and food coloring. I would also recommend Hy-Vee Fast and Fresh convenience store because the cooked and hot foods in their stores are freshly cooked, especially when there are Caribou Coffee shops connected to them as well.

Website says they close at 7:00 p.m. we walk into the St Clair Avenue Caribou she said oh we turned off our espresso machine because we closed in 5 minutes well if you close in 5 minutes you shouldn’t turn off your espresso machine so that means you can’t even make hot chocolate. Number one the website was wrong it said 7:00 p.m. it was supposed to be 6:00 p.m. and then when the customer service agent / Barista tells me we turned off our espresso machine because we closed in 5 minutes excuse me you close in 5 minutes you keep it on until you close. I work for a business where we don’t close our restaurant doors until the last guest is out the door. And if you’re in drive-thru or in the restaurant and you’re ordering we don’t turn the fryers off until closing time.

I prefer this espresso to any of the chain options. Also, they’re mug/tumbler selection is really cool. This is a shared space with the HyVee gas station next door so it doesn’t have quite as cozy a feel inside as some others, that’s the only thing keeping from 5 stars imo.

Cute lobby with a variety of seating. Convenient drive through in the back too. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable! I got the Campfire iced coffee with dark chocolate and it was delicious.

My Caribou Coffee experience is always the best. The staff at the Barry Road/Kansas City location are always happy, friendly, very helpful. I’m greeted with a smile and very good service. I’m there almost daily and go nowhere else. They’re consistent and very nice people.

I first became acquainted with Caribou Coffee on a trip to Minneapolis several years ago Since then, it’s been my favorite brand. I buy the Obsidian blend whole beans nd prepare it in a French press. I have tried all sorts of different coffee and there is no better dark roast to be found anywhere.

After I ordered hot campfire mocha, they usually made it sweeter last year. That is not what I want. Guess what? They finally made perfect mocha, which is balanced with mocha and espresso this time. It is not heavily sweet anymore. So I can enjoy drinking campfire mocha more often.
What’s more? I love interior designs, which reminds me of vacation lodge. If you see special rewards such large drink for medium price, you better grab an opportunity. That is what I usually do. Thank you for best campfire mocha!
