I stopped at Caribou this morning and ordered an XL hot white mocha, which costs extra for the larger size. When I received my drink, the cup immediately felt unusually light. After removing the whipped cream topping, I realized the drink was only filled to about three-quarters of the cup, with the rest mostly foam and cream. It was essentially the amount you would expect in a medium, just served in an XL cup.
I went back to the window to politely ask if they could take a look and remake it since I had paid for the larger size. Unfortunately, the response I received was disappointing. Instead of acknowledging the issue or being friendly about it, the employee closed the window and the staff inside appeared to huddle together discussing what to do. The interaction made it feel like I was inconveniencing them rather than bringing up a legitimate concern.
Mistakes happen, and I would have completely understood if the drink had simply been remade with a quick apology. However, the lack of customer service and the irritated attitude from the staff made the experience frustrating. When customers pay extra for a specific size, they should receive the correct amount of product and be treated respectfully when addressing an issue.
I hope management addresses this so future customers have a better experience.

This is my favorite Caribou in town- there’s literally another one I can see from inside my house and I go out of my way to come to this one when I can. They are always nice, drinks are consistent tasting, and they’re quick. If you have to wait, they usually chat with you at the window. Nice place to sit outside, easy to get to from the highway. I go to Caribou twice a day sometimes, trust me when I say this is the best one lol

Tough to get to unless you know where it is. Maps doesn’t have the correct directions… need to go into the church parking lot and then go into Caribou lot… also… speaker is facing hwy 15 so whenever a truck goes by, the staff inside cannot hear you ordering. I had to repeat myself twice for each thing I ordered and the staff person sounded irritated… not my fault. Planning error on Caribou’s part!

Every person I’ve ever had to pleasure of interacting at this store was amazing. As they open at 5:00am I’m usually their first customer, once in awhile waiting in the parking lot for them to turn on the lights. They are also happy to see me, and never had said a single word about me being there seconds after they open. Many times one of the barista will stand at the window and chat with me while I’m waiting for my coffee.

Points were deducted from my rewards for a size upgrade via the Mobil app but that is not what I got from the Caribou Cabin on Hwy 15 and 18th Street in Sauk Rapids, MN. What I got was a Medium Iced Carmel High Rise when it was suppose to be a large.
UPDATE: Corporate and Dan took great care of my issue and I even got instruction on how to work the Caribou app. Thank you all.
