We decided to finally try this place who replaced a Tampa staple several years ago as we heard good things.
Overall the food was good, not the best I have had in the Tampa area, but everything had good flavor. The cafeteria style takes away from the made to order freshness at other places, but you get the food fast. Their black beans had a great flavor, everything else was average. Their flan was very good, rich, dense and creamy.
Atmosphere was ok, small location and tight seating. Service was also average, everyone very nice but in a hurry. I would return for a quick bite if I don’t have time for ordering at a different local Cuban/Latin spot.

We came here after a Bucs game at the recommendation of a friend. We arrived around 5:20 and half of the pans were empty. They close at 8 so not sure why not much out but either way what we had was good. I had the arrow con gandules, tostones, and pollo guisado. The arroz lacked some flavor and the chicken was a little dry. But overall was good for the price. You definitely get a lot of food. Enough for almost two meals. We both ate for less than $25. The staff was friendly and the restaurant clean.

I recently had the pleasure of trying Caribbean Twist through a catered lunch at work, and I was blown away! Every single dish was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The meats and chicken were tender and seasoned just right, and the avocado salad was absolutely next level—fresh, creamy, and perfectly balanced. You can truly taste the care and authenticity in every bite. I highly recommend this place if you’re craving delicious, homemade Caribbean food. Will definitely be ordering from them again!

All of the flavors were aaabsolutely on point, and the staff was so friendly!! I had the pernil and it was perfect. The plantains were so delicious!! My rice was a bit dry, I imagine from sitting out for a few but overall the food was spectacular and for this price?! Go!!

I absolutely love this place! I went there all the time when I lived in Tampa, had a patient that lived down the street would stop in almost weekly! Moved to Oklahoma and now visit once EVERY SINGLE TIME! The food is amazing, the staff is so friendly and kind, and it’s very very well priced and you get tons of food, huge positions! Check them out and show some love for me since I can’t!

Honestly if I could give more than 5 stars I would. From the amazing service to the delicious food I can’t brag about this spot enough. Wide variety of food and everything was fresh and tasty. If you haven’t come here you should definitely give them a try and you’ll be hooked.

I don’t even know where to start My family recently moved back to the DR, including my grandmother, and eating here honestly felt like I was back in her kitchen again. I’ve been really missing home-cooked Dominican food, and this place hit every single note.
The food was AMAZING — full of flavor, seasoned perfectly, and made with so much love you can taste it. It gave me that comfort food feeling I didn’t even realize I needed. On top of that, the prices were super affordable, which just made it even better.
If you’re craving real latin food that feels authentic, comforting, and made from the heart, this is the spot. 10/10 for sure, and I’ll definitely be coming back again and again. ❤️

Delicious! Came in to try a Cuban Sandwich and it was perfect! A true Tampa Cuban Sandwich! Which means, ham, shredded pork, SALAMI, Swiss, mustard, and pickles + pressed. The chicken soup was delicious and the ham croquettes! Customer service was great! Very attentive to everyone here and the place is clean. Really cute atmosphere. It definitely did not disappoint! I will be back to try the hot food!
Update a month later: we enjoyed the hot food already made on the line. The Oxtail (Rabo Ecendido) and the Ropa Vieja… Delicious! We were really impressed! And everyone was very attentive! Photos of the food added.

This is a ready to eat place. You make a line and instruct what you want. You get one meat protein & 2 sides. You can get other side items. They have many options from chicken, beef, pork, & seafood. Portions are good but most importantly the food is good. The staff is nice & attentive. Place is clean and spacious.
