So happy to find this and the owner is such a nice guy! The oven roasted pork was delicious, nice flavors and the plantains were amazing! The empanadas also amazing! We were given a sample of the chicken and potato soup, it was something you’d want when sick as it’s comfort food at its best! If they have the lima colada I’d recommend getting a glass of this!

This is a very special place. I came in looking for a place to recharge and some good food and i found it here. I wasn’t sure what to order but the owner, Gadiel, helped me pick out something savory and sweet. The cafecito he made me was amazing and he came and sat with me. It felt like I was having lunch with a good friend, I completely forgot it was my first time there. I cannot wait to try more dishes and to introduce my loved ones to this place.

Delicious! Support local, you will not be disappointed! The owner Gee, is so attentive and makes you feel at home. Just like stopping over at a family member’s house for a delicious meal. We can’t stop talking about how delicious the food is. Hubby had tacos, pork and chicken and also raved about the rice and beans. I had a special dish with yuca fries, pork, special cheese sauce, an egg and chimmichuri! ‍

Absolutely top tier stuff. The Caribbean Hash is incredible – by far the best corned beef hash I’ve had in my life. It’s got a unique sweet flavor. Like every time I took a bite I did the thing where you close your eyes and go “mmm oh my God that’s good.” Very fair prices too, especially for the area. The guava pastry was solid. Would’ve liked a little more guava but it was still good.

Super cool place. Very friendly staff. Great presentation of food.

Breath of fresh air if you’re looking for different for breakfast (they serve lunch, too). We were staying at the Holland State Park and glad we decided to stop in.

Cozy and clean inside with some tables outside, but it was raining. Helpful staff answering questions. Owner stopped by our table and we had a nice chat.

I had the Caribbean Hash and my son had the special that was served over some incredible plantains. The white rice was pretty plain with my hash, but they had a very wide selection of hot sauces to dial it up . Hash was tasty and my son loved his meal.

Holland is definitely lucky to have a restaurant serving this style of food.

what an amazing experience ❤️As a Puerto Rican who gets very homesick living out here in Michigan, I was looking for something that felt & tasted like home. This beautiful restaurant did not disappoint. The decor was super nostalgic.
The owners were super cool/sweet//hospitable/amazing like true borica culture. It felt like going to a cousin’s house in Puerto Rico for a nice night with family and great Puerto Rican comfort food. The flavors were outstanding. 10 out of 10. The pernil (pork) with arroz con gandules and tostones was as delicious and authentic boricua as it gets. Like your abuela made it and served it to you with love So were the pinchos (chicken skewers) . We also had the pork sandwich in the jibarito style with plantain as the bun. 10 out of 10. The empanadas/pastelillos were outstanding (crunchy and flavorful). The mayoketchup was to delicious. The chimichurri sauce was to die for (freshly made and nice thick chunks of everything (not over puréed like some make it ). They also let us taste some of their special cheese sauce and wow it was so good that we left with a little tub of it to take home lol. Also the Puerto Rican pastries (pastelito de guayava and the quesitos) we took to go tasted as good as back on the island. Superb. And i must add that the amount of detail and love put into the flavors was also put into the presentation of the dishes. Picture perfect . But the number one thing we like the most about the restaurant was the people. Anyone who goes to Puerto Rico leaves there in aww and say the thing they love the most about the island is THE PEOPLE and the love we show to others , that is exactly how you will feel after you leave this restaurant if you’re not shy and you dare to spark a conversation with the lovely owners . My family and i left stuffed and super happy. Belly & hearts full like after a Christmas Eve (Noche Buena) meal with the fam back on the island. Just awesome experience all in all. Will definitely be back ✊ THANK YOU GUYS (the owners) for showing us so much love and making amazing food that will most definitely have us coming back and bringing more people with us ❤️ it really felt like home

This is a hidden gem. Gadiel, the owner, is super friendly and will accommodate whatever your preferences may be (meat, vegetarian, vegan). Moreover, the food is delicious. We loved the freshly ground Puerto Rican coffee and the freshly made guava pastries. My Plantain and Cheese delight was especially good tasting. Moreover, the atmosphere with “ windows” on the walls looking out at Caribbean views is cheerful and fun. This was our first visit, and we will return.

Caribbean Sunrise is an absolute gem! The food was beyond delicious. I had a pork taco and a chicken taco, served with plantains and rice, and everything was fabulous. I was so busy enjoying every bite that I didn’t even stop for a photo, but I did manage to snap one of the donuts and coffee we had afterward (also amazing!). The owners are super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more special. I’ll definitely be back!
