Being from Miami, I had to do a double take when I saw the Haitian flag. I LOVE Haitian food. Always well seasoned and delicious! I got the cheapest plate which came up to about $12 and some change. 100% worth it, in this economy. In other places you spend more and get way less. I had enough food to spare and I had variety. Everything was delicious the rice and beans, the Macaroni, the chicken. 10 out of 10 highly recommend

Stopped in for a quick bite with my little one. It smelled so good from outside on the sidewalk. That’s a sign the food must be good! We were greeted by a smile and really enjoyed our food.

I can’t believe the city hasn’t shut this place down yet! Appearance and customer service is very unwelcoming the food is disgusting and never fresh. (I hate hard rice) Food is microwaved before served. Small portions. This place needs TLC! The money that is made should be invested into that building and a payroll then hire a chef and happy welcoming employees.

Hole in the wall jamaican spot with good food. A bit on the pricey side for the amount of food you get. Service was kind of indifferent, which honestly, is typical of Caribbean spots. Lol… Overall not a bad experience. Plus I like to frequent Family and black owned business.

We had the steamed fish, yellow yam, boil dumpling and boiled green banana. Portion size is huge, flavor is fresh and out of this world! Very authentic. Friendly staff, good food, great prices. Ya can’t beat it!

Wish the oxtails was meater…mostly bones.
Very flavorful. 15.99 for a large appeared more like a small…The rice had flavor but was crunchy. Would like someone to invest in this business because it could be great if the portions and Atmosphere was better…

This small eating spot hidden on nw 5th ave is the best Caribbean food in Gainesville. Don’t be put off by its appearance. Extra large inexpensive portions of delicious homemade food. This place deserves 5 stars for the food and cost but there is no reason for it to be so dirty inside. This place really needs a good cleaning.

The Jamaican restaurant that I frequent has consistently proven to be an exceptional culinary haven, delivering an authentic and vibrant experience that transports diners straight to the heart of the Caribbean. The atmosphere is both welcoming and lively, enriched by the warm hospitality and the rhythmic sounds of reggae music gently playing in the background.
The menu is a testament to the rich and diverse culinary heritage of Jamaica, offering an array of dishes that are as flavorful as they are aromatic. Each dish is prepared with meticulous attention to detail, using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients! Thanks Ma!!
