The first time I’d gone here, I was initially happy to find good jerk without me having to go to the city. I’d come back 2 more times that first week. Food is amazing. I’ve have the jerk chicken, catfish and today I’m trying the escovitch snapper. This place doesn’t miss. The only time I was disappointed was when there were no more plantains. Then I discovered the garlic potatoes and I always get them as an extra side. Please go it’s so good!

I absolutely love Caribbean Kitchen in Lansing! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with love. Every time I order, I feel like I’m getting a home-cooked meal. The portions are generous, the jerk chicken is seasoned perfectly, and the oxtails are some of the best I’ve had. On top of that, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. This has become one of my go-to spots whenever I’m craving real, authentic Caribbean food. Highly recommend!

Good flavors, decent pricing. And will definitely come back for the red snapper! The jerk chicken was great with a grilled smoky flavor that was authentic, even though I didn’t love the gravy because it was a bit acidic. I rate the rice and peas as really good but the cabbage was overcooked and needed a bit of help. Plantain was good and cooked well and tasted ripe. Overall very pleased especially with a new business. I am so happy when new restaurants open and give the community options. However I will say the menu is pretty big and hopefully that doesn’t wear down the operation of the business especially with many of the sides precooked sitting in warmers to be served. Overall, I will be happy to return and try out by other menu items!

Caribbean Kitchen in Lansing never disappoints! The flavors are always on point and you can tell everything is cooked with care. I tried the curry chicken and it was tender and full of flavor, and the plantains were fried just right. The service is quick, the portions are filling, and the atmosphere feels warm and inviting. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the area!

Best of the Best and I have tried a portion of carribean food across the board. Second time patronizing this outstanding culinary restaurant. The flavors are savory and delicious drawing you in with each bite. I order the salmon which I am not a big fan of jerk salmon because it tends to be over cooked. Yet again pleasantly surprised the salmon was so tasty the texture was amazing and the beautiful palette of my plate. Mac and cheese very good not leaving out the yams just the right sweetness. I am so happy to have ran across this gem especially for the amount of food you get for your buck very plentiful. I tore into this plate so no picture but definitely will upload one soon.

My mom and I were really excited to try this new jerk spot that just opened around the corner. On opening day, we ordered the jerk salmon and catfish, which are our favorite things to get when we buy Caribbean food. Unfortunately, we were really disappointed. The meals were expensive, but the flavor just wasn’t there. The red beans and rice had an overpowering cinnamon taste, and everything else was super bland. The sauce on my salmon was not pleasant at all. After just a few bites, I ended up throwing my whole meal away. I could not eat it.
