The food didn’t quite match the authentic taste of Caribbean dishes we’ve enjoyed before. It was less spicy, and the ingredients lacked the distinctive flavor we expected. Many of the items in the menu wasn’t available. However, the portions were fair.

We got food to go and it was so good. The service was also prompt and friendly. She also recommended the homemade fruit juice and I’m so glad I took the recommendation, it was so good! I feel like I could taste each individual fruit. The jerk wings were falling off the bone tender they were not spicy at all. But what they lacked in spice they definitely packed the flavor on so I still have no complaints. She also told me they have a food truck that operates through the night. They are easily accessible.

Service was prompt. Food DID NOT taste authentic. I’ve had other Jamaican restaurants and have even had my Jamaican husband’s curry and it was nothing like what they served at this place. If I had looked at the reviews and saw the pictures, I wouldn’t have ordered the curry. You can tell by the pictures it looks off. Was the food nasty? No. But it didn’t give “Jamaican” whatsoever.

The BEST Jamaican food in the panhandle!
I drive 45 mins to get here when I have places 5 mins from my house just because the food is so much better.

I crave the homemade fruit juice on a daily basis, and the plate portions are huge!

Not only that, but the owner is very personable.
He says himself how the food is made with love and welcomes you in from the first time you walk in like you’re a regular. ( you’ll quickly become one after u try it)

(If ur reading this before the new address is updated on google, they moved locations!!! 104 sw Hollywood Blvd is the new address)

THIS is soul food.

I don’t know much about Caribbean food but I like to think I have high standards and the food from this place definitely meets that bar.

At first, I felt like the price is a bit high. But honestly, it’s worth it. You also practically get 2 meals per plate.

We got the Caribbean Chicken plate and the oxtail plate. Both were very tender and flavorful.

We also got our food to go and while waiting, they gave us a cup of juice that I wish I had asked about. It was perfectly sweet and VERY refreshing.

I foresee being a regular here on payday.

When ever I come here I always get the oxtails with rice and peas. I recently had them to cater for my friend’s 50th birthday party. Oxtails ,Jerk Chicken, Curry Chicken , Rice and Peas, Cabbage , Beef Patties and Plantains. The food was delicious.
If you are ever in the area and looking for authentic
Jamaican food this is the place to go.

I can’t say much on the food, but I can say if you advertise that you are open then I would expect that you would be open the days you say. I looked online and it said open on Sunday until 7pm. Needless to say they where not open. I would have liked to try the place but it wasn’t avaliable like they said. I would suggest updating the hours online (google) so as to not cause confusion and disappointment. I’ll update my review once I actually get in there. Hopefully they are open at the times that are displayed.

Just went for the first time. Walked in, didn’t get greeted at all. I asked for 2 beef patties, the lady just walked away without a word. I sat down and waited. heard a MICROWAVE SOUND, and when I got my beef patties they were soggy and textured horribly as if it was just microwaved.. I read the previous reviews before going in, and I can confirm they horribly microwave their food instead of making authentic food. Golden Corral is 50x better than this place. I advise anyone against going here. Horrible service (I felt so uncomfortable) and horrible food. As for the beef patties, normally Golden Corral will ask if you want Spicy or Mild. They didn’t. They just gave me a microwaved spicy beef patty LOL. Never coming here again.

Food was phenomenal! Very much a mom and pop shop. Flavors were on point. We tried the oxtail curry, goat curry and jerk chicken. The jerk chicken was my favorite but I would eat them all again.
