Flavorista
Once you open the front door, and go towards the left Caribbean Jerk Corner hits you with that real Jamaican energy—big aromas, big flavors, and a menu that makes you want to order with your heart instead of your head.
*Note regarding atmosphere*
5/5 – this is a TAKE OUT spot – not a date spot. You can eat at the bar style counter table. We always get it to go.
They have good tasting beef patties too.
Food: 10 stars (yes, I said it).
This is the kind of food that tastes like somebody cares. Everything is cooked with passion, loaded with flavor, and served in hearty, family-style portions. They don’t play stingy with the sauce either—your meat and rice get the love they deserve. The day we went, our food was fresh off the burner.
One star deduction:
Not for the food—for the container failure and the sides mix-up. One of the styrofoam containers melted through (mac & cheese side), and my sides weren’t what I ordered. Next time I’m double-checking before I walk out.
What to get (the winners):
Oxtails — the main event. Large pieces, perfectly rendered, succulent, and rich without being greasy. What really got me? I could taste fresh ginger in every bite of my oxtails with peas and rice.
Cabbage, sweet potatoes (yams), and mac-n-cheese — all taste delicious.
Red beans and rice — solid, and you can tell the beans are cooked with intention. They are not from a can.
Plantains — sweet and delicious.
My husband’s go to comfort dinner is the curry goat. He said it tasted great (and based on how they handle oxtails, I believe it).
Service & vibe (August 23, 2025):
Rohan and Lorraine (and yes—I’ll correct the name next time I drop by) are kind and personable, and the freshness here isn’t a marketing line—you can taste that they’re cooking from scratch. The beans taste like beans that actually simmered, not something dumped from a can.
Extra note from my household:
I don’t eat jerk chicken (I’m not chasing spicy), but my husband does —and he was sampling local “jerk chicken” spots until I brought him here. Now? If he wants authentic Jamaican, this is where he goes. Curry goat or jerk chicken + yams + Champagne Cola is his move. And the portions? Sunday-at-family’s-house portions. Not bistro portions.
Be serious—Rohan is Jamaican.
We’ve never had a bad meal here. And honestly, sometimes I think people write bad reviews just for entertainment.
Bottom line:
If you want authentic Jamaican food, big portions, and flavor that tastes homemade (because it is), give Caribbean Jerk Corner a try.

Literally just left… was excited to find a jerk spot near me but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be returning. Food was ready in 5 mins so I should have known the quality would not be great. Ordered wings and Mac and cabbage. First off the Mac clearly was old , not fresh and didn’t taste well… had a brown coloring and just looked old. Jerk wings were okay but definitely dried out…and the cabbage seemed fresh but was bland , I added some salt. Disappointed ☹️

Customer service was not friendly at all. I waited over 10 mins for someone to come from the back and I was never greeted. He just came and stood at the register. I ordered The Cajun Shrimp Pasta. It had a good flavor but the shrimp were SO overcooked, they were like rubber. Couldn’t eat them at all. That’s disappointing for $20. Really nothing to make me wanna come back to.

I ordered the jerk chicken and jerk noodles and both were delicious. The chicken was good without the sauce. I definitely will order again

Do NOT go here if you’re looking for jerk chicken/food! No way in this world that they are serving jerk chicken!! No flavor tastes like it was broiled and did not have any jerk flavor. Rice and cabbage was very basic with no seasoning at all. This was my first time there and DEFINITELY my last time!!! Only thing that was good is that you get a great amount of food which is a red flag because good food usually comes in a small quantity to make you want more so I should have known better. If the restaurant starts to serve good tasting food then the quantity would be worth the experience.
