⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 — Caribbean Hot Pot (Houston, TX) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you’re in Houston and craving real Caribbean flavor, Caribbean Hot Pot is a MUST. Everything was absolutely delicious — no misses at all.

The oxtails were tender and seasoned to perfection, the curry goat was rich and flavorful, and the curry chicken and brown stew chicken were on point
Don’t even get me started on the sides — the rice & peas, cabbage, and yes… even the plantains were

Authentic flavor, great portions, and food made with love.
10 out of 10 — highly recommend! ️

Caribbean Hot Pot located at 954 FM 1960 in Houston delivered the perfect grand finale for Family Alliance Network’s Winter Around the World Therapeutic Program, and their generosity, authenticity, and integrity made this experience truly unforgettable.

Our final destination was Jamaica, and Caribbean Hot Pot brought the culture to life through bold, authentic Jamaican cuisine. They graciously donated a large pan of jerk chicken, large stew chicken, rice and peas, and perfectly seasoned cabbage—and every dish was prepared with incredible flavor, care, and authenticity. The jerk chicken was smoky and tender, the stew chicken was rich and comforting, and the sides tied everything together beautifully. It was a true celebration of Jamaican culture through food.

What truly set this experience apart were the owners, Marquisha and Vaughn Watkis. From day one, when I first spoke with Mrs. Watkis, her response was simple and powerful: “We’ve got you covered.” There was no hesitation, no uncertainty—just immediate support and commitment. And they delivered exactly as promised.

Their follow-through, professionalism, and genuine heart for the community were evident in every detail—from clear communication to a seamless pickup and beautifully prepared food. Caribbean Hot Pot didn’t just donate a meal; they stood in partnership with our mission and showed up for our children in a meaningful way.

Watching our children enjoy authentic Jamaican cuisine as we closed out Winter Camp was incredibly special and impactful. It was the perfect way to end a program centered on culture, connection, and care.

If you’re looking for authentic Jamaican food, outstanding service, and owners who truly stand by their word, Caribbean Hot Pot is the place. We are beyond grateful and highly recommend them to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience rooted in community and excellence. By the way, they also have another location just in case you can’t get by FM 1960; they are also located at 12005 Veterans Memorial Dr., Ste A., Houston TX.

Thank you, Caribbean Hot Pot—and special thanks to Marquisha and Vaughn Watkis—for helping us close our Winter Program with heart, flavor, and integrity.

Got the Large Jerk Chicken meal, pretty much 2 cut up chicken quarters, rice and peas, cabbage and plantains with extra sauce. The jerk chicken was very spicy just like it should be, the rice and cabbage was good, the plantain was a little dry but I left it till later to try. Will be back to try the oxtail. Also got some beef patties.

I stumbled upon this gem while looking for a particular fruit in the HI Lo market!! So glad I took a chance and ordered the jerk chicken plate! My husband is a chef and he gave this food a 10/10!!! Chicken was juicy, flavors were on point, the rice and beans(peas) were delicious and the plantain!!! Cooked to perfection! Will definitely be back for more jerk chicken and to try the ox tails!

I’m glad this popped up on Maps while I was searching for someplace for lunch! It’s located inside the HI-LO market in the back of the store. The food is good and the owner is nice. I got the large jerk chicken plate and it came with rice and peas, steam cabbage and fried plantains. The restaurant portion of the store has only been open for about a month. Definitely a great spot to stop in for some authentic jamaican flavors and pick up some extra stuff to stock your own kitchen!

The lady that took our order was very rude and lacks customer service skills. If she doesn’t like people, she shouldn’t be working in a service industry. We purchased the oxtail plate and was very disappointed for the portion size for the price. They gave a few very small pieces of oxtails and when we asked if they could at least ad more if they didn’t have larger ones, the lady was rude. The plate is $30.

I come here often and always get the stewed chicken. Never have to ask for gravy to be put on the stewed chicken. However, today I went and the lady did not put any gravy on the chicken or the rice and it makes a big difference in the food. Please put the gravy on the stewed chicken in the future because today was a miss.
