Since moving to South Carolina, this is hands down one of the best Caribbean restaurants I’ve experienced. From the moment you walk in, the aroma alone tells you you’re in for something special.
The **curry goat** was tender, rich, and perfectly seasoned — full of bold island spices that soaked beautifully into the rice and peas. The **jerk chicken** had that classic smoky heat with just the right kick, balanced and flavorful without overpowering the dish.
Now let’s talk about the **oxtails** — deeply savory, fall-off-the-bone tender, and packed with flavor. While they had a little more fat than I personally prefer, the taste absolutely delivered. The gravy alone over rice and peas? Incredible.
The sides did not disappoint either. The **collards and cabbage** were seasoned just right, cooked to perfection, and tasted like they were made with love. And you definitely can’t forget the **plantains** — sweet, caramelized, and the perfect finishing touch to the meal.

Always so good! They have very nice workers and always good music playing! Their food is amazing always hits and never misses. 🙂 I’ve gone in there one night and they had a dj in there and again amazing music!!! Jerk chicken is delicious and so is the ackee and oxtail! Rice and peas with oxtail gravy is the best and the plantains are always amazing too.

Usually when I come food is good but this day was out of rice nd peas .4th time coming I travel a hr to get here and food not to my liking..curry was too salty oxtail dried nd no flavor …I dnt think I’ll be coming back guess back to finding a new spot…ughhh

Had the ox tail and jerk chicken, for sides, rice and beans, cabbage and plantains. Everything was delicious, especially ox tail, falling off the bone. Good place to eat, wasn’t too busy, and food came fairly quick. A little hard to find the location, would definitely go there again.

The atmosphere was great with a dj playing music and some people were dancing but a very relaxed place. The service was great with someone always asking how we were doing. The place was very clean and organized and plenty of seating inside and outside. The food was so good. I had the oxtails and rice and the fried chicken. The adult drink was good as well. I definitely recommend this place it’s good for family, dates or solo. I definitely will go back again.

Coming from Colorado, there were some surprisingly good carribean places to eat at. The wife and I were in the mood for some so out of all the places, this looked the most appealing. When I went in there, the lady told me that the A/C was out so they weren’t trying to let people dine in. That was fine because we were getting the food to go, but I would have understand if they would have closed because it was stupid hot in there IMO. Anyway, we order Oxtails, Curry Goat, Plantains, a cabbage. Our total came out to about $60. I was impressed. The food came out in about 8 mins, it was piping hot, super fresh and the bag was heavy. They make the price worth it. This would definitely be a place we come to once every couple of months to get our fix. If you’re ever in the area, check them out. I don’t think you’d be disappointed. The wait staff was friendly. Everyone loved the food! There’s only one vegetarian meal on the menu…maybe they could cut the portion of rice and offer both greens and cabbage on the veg plate. The plantain- delicious!

Found this gem deep in monks corner on the way to the DMV. It’s tucked in the back a bit but we found it quite easy. There was only one other table in there besides us which can sometimes be worrying. The decor was very true to the Jamaican culture but definitely could use an update to liven the place. We ordered 2 jerk chicken meals and Miss Shareen brought the food out to us. She was very nice and checked on us. The collard greens were delicious and cooked perfectly! Everything was flavorful, chicken was tender and plantains were juicy. I feel like this place could do really well in a better location to draw in more customers because their food is so good. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely be back!
