07/01/2025 – First time visiting Caribbean Corner for dinner and ordered carryout service. The owner shared that Caribbean Corner has been in operations for 30 years. Congrats! I ordered the Oxtail Dinner with Cabbage and Rice; and the Chicken Dinner with Mac & Cheese and Rice. The orders were delicious. Dining in is optional. Parking on Rhodes Ave. Decent prices. There are a few steps to enter the establishment. Decent prices.

I’ve never been to a Caribbean restaurant that serves sweet oxtail! I feel like I was eating a bowl of Lucky charms. I thought It was supposed to be savory not sweet. the cabbage taste like cabbage and the red beans and rice was red beans rice but the oxtails though…… The oxtails was sweet for whatever reason I just don’t understand. I knew it was a red sign because they had a sign on the window saying no refunds or exchange so other people had to be complaining about the food too. It was absolutely disgusting I would have never eaten it if somebody gave it to me for free. I was still hungry so I went to Rally’s to get me some food because this food was extremely too sweet after three bites he had my head hurting.

Got the oxtail.. man that made my week. They put the perfect amount of oxtail gravy to soak the rice. I got some fried plantain on the side and let’s just say I couldn’t leave the parking lot. Had to eat it before I left. I’ll be back again

Don’t waste your time or money at this place. There’s no one to greet you and when the man finally comes to the counter he looks like he’s uninterested in working. This attitude clearly was given to the food as well. The red snapper tasted as if it was cooked a week ago and microwaved it was so mushy. The patties were basically just dough. Nothing was fresh. Will not be revisiting

I stopped here for the very first time and must I say it was not enjoyable. Restaurant decor was basic and uninviting. But onto the food. I got the oxtail, rice, cabbage, and side of plantains. My husband got the jerk with cabbage only and 3 beef patties. I am born and raised island first time ever we couldn’t eat a plate of food from a Caribbean restaurant. Plantains tasted spoil and the cabbage tasted stale almost bitter. Oxtails were baby tails overly sweet and fatty with barely any meat. Guy was nice but the food was nasty, all of it went to the bin. It just didn’t taste like the love was in it. Would never recommend or go back and I’m a tourist not a local.

Was here in the past and the food was better. My last visit the food was awful. The cornbread was SOUR! I’m assuming it’s made with buttermilk but still, that cornbread was DEF old! The Jerk Chicken was okay as was the rice and peas. The cabbage wasn’t good. I was VERY disappointed that I spent $34 on food that was so bad. My daughter wasted most of hers. Won’t be going back.
