First time here. The reviews were mixed. I got a Large Curry Chicken(Three sides: Mac n Cheese, Plantains, and Rice & Beans). The food was amazing and the price isn’t too bad. The service was good enough for a small business. I waited a while before being served. The atmosphere is NOT the best. It’s a hole-in-the-wall for sure. I’d question their sanitation, but there were no reviews about food poisoning so overall 5 stars. We’re here for the food not everything else.

Was leaving the farmers market and saw the joint, so I stopped. The chicken was tender, but not much taste. Seemed like all the flavor was in the jerk sauce he squirted on top. The yams were good, and the plantain was good. I got the small order, and they packed on the food. Everything was out uncovered and looked like it had sat for a while though. Didn’t like that. It was ok, just expected better as you could smell the grill before you even walk in.

I had a taste for jerk chicken and a friend of mine recommended this little hole in the wall. It’s been around for long time and needs some work. The chicken was just ok, spicy but I don’t know how long ago it was cooked. The food is out like a buffet and uncovered so there’s no telling how long ago it’s been cooked. The Mac and cheese was flavorless and rice over cooked. I went on a Sunday evening and it wasn’t busy at all.

Years ago, I gave this place a 5 star. However, I haven’t been there since the pandemic. 2 weeks ago, I crave some real authentic Caribbean food. Even though it was an hour and a 1/2 drive for me and my friends. I encourage my friends that it would be worth the drive. I thought the food would be as good as it was years ago. Every item on the menu here is fantastic!! The Jerk Chicken is amazing! There is a single table for eating in, and not much parking, so most people take it to go. Highly recommended.

Wings were good, albeit tiny. I had jerk and lemon pepper, both very tasty. The macaroni and cheese could’ve used more seasoning. The Caribbean peas and rice was so delicious, I’d go back just for that.

The lady at the cash register overcharged me for the salmon, which by the way, the price isn’t on the board, so they’ll probably tell you it’s the same price as the red snapper, which is what they did to me. When I told the cook about it, he told me I needed to check the receipt. How about you not overcharge customers to begin with?? They didn’t give me the correct change back. I had to pull out my calculator to show them they still owed me money. The lady behind the register was arguing with me the entire time. That was the last time I’d go there. Customer service was terrible & I don’t like having to fight for money I shouldn’t have been charged for in the first place. They didn’t even want to give me the receipts reflecting the difference in the amount. Additionally, I had to tell them my order more than once & they still almost gave me the wrong sides.

Horrible quality. I spent $20 on a veggie plate…rice peas , curry chickpea/potato’s, greens, mixed veggies, and an order of plantains. Literally the only thing edible was the rice and peas and plantains….everything was hard and seemed to not be cooked thoroughly, flavor wasn’t the best either… Whenever cooking large quantities at a time and letting them sit in metal containers it’s seems to compromise the integrity of the food but this is the second time I wasted money here. They have a big sign that say “no returns” so I didn’t even bother going back inside (sat in the car eating) but I did call and the owner simply said we don’t take food back and dismissed my concerns. Last time I came here my entire order of plantains was burnt , (i like them a little dark) but they were completely hard and dry. I don’t enjoy wasting money on poor quality food.

I was really hoping to enjoy this spot due to the location. But sadly I won’t be back. The food is bland and odd-tasting. The oxtails tasted like cinnamon and sugar and the curry goat was the blandest I’ve ever tasted. And for the price, it didn’t seem like rice and peas should count as one of the 2 sides. The food looked good but wasn’t appetizing at all. Maybe the jerk chicken is better, you can smell the grill burning outside when you walk up. But I won’t be trying them again. (The food is swimming because I asked for extra gravy but that seemed to amplify the poor taste). Meat was tender but the flavor just wasn’t there.
