Reviews
The server spoke quickly so it was hard to keep up throught the evening.
The diver scallops and sashimi sampler were excellent as was the grouper entree. They di accomodate my husband’s onion intolerance by substituting a different risotto.
The sea bass entree was very disappointing. Truly lacked basic seasoning and did not have an explosion of flavor like the grouper.
It was an average experience overall.
Right from the start the vibe felt very odd. We were seated facing a wall, which didn’t feel welcoming or special at all for a celebration. Our server then told us we had to order our appetizer and main course at the same time, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to order a main later. That was very strange and made the experience feel rushed and uncomfortable. Because of that, we ended up only ordering appetizers, which was really disappointing.
Service was slow, and our server honestly didn’t seem like she wanted to be there.
The food was also very underwhelming. The Wagyu carpaccio had almost no seasoning, and when we mentioned it, our server told us we “weren’t eating it correctly,” which felt dismissive. The lobster cargot had zero flavor. The only standout was the shrimp cocktail, which was actually very good.
Overall, I was really upset because I picked this restaurant for a milestone birthday and it just didn’t feel special at all.
Nice meal? Absolutely not. Caesar salad was very bland. NY Strip steak was small and not very good. My son got the “Petite Steak” from the kids meal and they really honored the “petite” part. It was basically a meat patty for a slider. My wife’s tenderloin was very roast like and pretty dry. My son’s pizza came out burnt.
At the end of the day we spent $250 for what I would consider $60 quality food.
Service was also not great. Had to ask 3 different servers that we were ready to order. Had to ask for bread 3 times. From the time we sat it was an hour and a half before we got our food. Again, not a huge issue, because we got to enjoy the views of the sunset during that timeframe.
If you want good food and that’s the priority, don’t go here. If you want a really good view of the sunset and don’t care about food quality or cost or service, then this is your place.
Our server Amanda was exceptional!
We sat outside for sunset dinner.
The bread is amazing! We had sushi, Ceasar salad and grouper dinners. It was all delicious. This is an upscale restaurant, although we thought the prices were reasonable for portion you received.
If you drive they provide free valet for up to 3 hours.
The food was pretty good, they brought some complimentary bread and hors d’oeuvres while we waited, the crispy flakey bites were delicious.
I ordered the Gulf Grouper, which was good but the sear was a bit over cooked (in my opinion at least) which I ended up cutting off. The other two people in my party had a salad and the NY strip which they both liked.
Overall we had a very nice dinner, if you looking for an upscale restaurant with a beautiful and quiet view this is a great option.
