What a fun place! We had been to Pawn & Pint and enjoyed it but live on the KS side so I’m glad Overland Park has a place like this too. We went on a Wednesday night and it was pretty full, so it seems like it’s often lively. It’s totally free to go in and play any of their MANY games but there are games and items for purchase as well if you so choose. Their food menu is interestingly waffle focused but I unfortunately did not have during our visit. Decent beer selection and I appreciate that they have a few mocktails on their menu that they’ve put thought into. My wife and I had a blast playing the game Fitz for the first time. Can’t wait to come back.

The atmosphere is good and there are plenty of games to pick from. I got the regular chicken and waffles. The waffles were dry and cold but still had flavor. The chicken tastes a little like lunchroom chicken tenders. It wasn’t terrible but I’ve definitely had better. My suggestion would be to get something that has more items on the waffle. 6 out of 10.

Best place in town to come play board games at, and they have an extensive good menu too. The menu is 90% waffles, but if you look hard you can find other stuff too. Their potato soup was great and their salads aren’t bad either.

This was a great evening. We got the Blackberry, Brie, and Bacon Waffle and The Sea Devil Mocktail. The waffle was unique and quite good. The Mocktail was rather believable in the flavor of the alcohol free rum. We played Star Wars Outer Rim and had just enough time to learn and play Hey, That’s My Fish! The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. We will definitely be coming back!

Hello Cardboard Corner Cafe,
Very first I am impressed with your idea and the Entire theme of cafe is different with lot of cardboard games and other retrofit style of games.
There are lot of people hanging out with food and coffee and games especially.
I have seen many games which I have never seen before, they were so so classy and interesting to play with a gang.
The place is so big and lot of seating like an escape room theme.
Coming to the food
The food was so so bad, even the coffee tooo worse, Don’t go to eat any food here even the coffee is so bad, the service quality is literally horrible you won’t like at all.
They are like let it be , let it be kinda people.
Disclaimer and warning ⚠️
If you are planning to go to coffee shop and study this is not at all the place for sure, don’t even imagine to open laptop and keep wireless headphones.
Feedback to cafe,
Customers are your life, add value to them via food and service don’t be a staff to involve and play games kinda off.
Everything regarding cafe should be improved.
Cheers Have a good one. 1️⃣

I wanted to know if a board game restaurant existed because it sounded like a cool idea. I Googled it and discovered this place. I have been gluten free for 3.5 years and have found that variety is hardly ever offered at most restaurants. It did not disappoint. They had a lot of gluten free options. Most items on the menu could be made gluten free even the pita bread! We hung out there and played Ticket to ride for the first time and tried out Oregon trail. The environment was perfect too. It wasn’t so quiet that it would be awkward to talk and it wasn’t so loud that you had to yell to be heard. Perfect sound balance. The menu was great. Waffles. Their “thing” is waffles. Waffles made into pizza, waffles made into tacos. Waffles topped with pulled pork for a BBQ spin. It was inventive and yet classic at the same time. The guys I brought are not the adventurous types when it comes to food so the menu scared them at first. In the end everyone ate every bite of food. Very affordable too. I even walked over to the game store attached and had some games special ordered to arrive this week. Anyway, I appreciated it. 🙂
Below -fried pickles, Wacho, Pizza, and I forgot the fries. Next time I will try chicken and waffles.

It was just ok to me. The atmosphere was great, we played board games while we waited for our waffles and it wasn’t too crowded because we went kinda early. Now lets talk about the food. They have a variety of savory and sweet waffles on the menu, but taste wise I would have enjoyed it if it was hot and fresh. There’s no way they made our food fresh. Everything was cold, even my loaded potatoes waffle. It was a nice experience but I don’t plan on returning.

This is a culmination of my favorite things; waffles, board games, and amazing atmosphere. Everyone is there to enjoy good food and fun drinks, play board games, and have a great time together. You can try out a board game while enjoying your food, and then walk next door to buy the game if you love it!

We love their game rooms and what they have to offer table top gamers. Next door (connected to the game room) sells board games, models, pins, plushies, dnd books and related items. The have a life-sized DRIZZT Do’urden of house DAERMON N’A’SHEZBAERNON on display OH! Their savory waffles are quite amazing, especially the cheesy ones, which are super airy and crispy!! I loved their lemonade bubble tea and London Fog.

Select from an extensive collection of games and play on-site for FREE! Plus they serve house coffee, alcoholic beverages, and a fun menu of waffle-themed foods while you play: Waffle fries, waffle sandwiches, and sweet and savory waffle concoctions. Situated next door to Table Top Game and Hobby (which also offers play space), it’s a great place to try out new games before you buy, meet up with friends, or go on a date or family night.
The game selection is 5 out of 5 stars. No fancy or fun coffee selections (bummer) though they do offer a chai tea latté (yay!) and really, the house coffee isn’t bad. There are milk alternatives for your coffee, too, plus gluten free waffle offerings, and even a few vegetarian snacks (though I don’t think any were vegan?).
