Have been next door to YKB multiple times and Carcosa is a great addition! Really solid food, great drinks and good service (only knock was it was busy and it was slow, but that’s not a knock on the staff themselves). Would come back often!

We came for trivia night and had an absolute blast! I didn’t eat but a lot of my friends did and they really enjoyed their food. I got a cosmo with mezcal and the bartender made it perfectly (I’m a bartender myself so really appreciated the good drink). The vibes were great, it was a chill but more upscale feel which was nice: Will definitely be returning!

Checked out this place after our first choice for a beer and cheese curds in Wallongford was closed. Have been to Yellow Kings next door and enjoyed their coffee. Walked in to Carcosa and was not quite sure what the vibe was supposed to be. Sports bar? Lounge? Hey – at least they had a Sunday happy hour. Sat at the bar and instantly noticed half eaten tins of food on the back counter, chemicals on the back counter near cups and glasses, and just random to go containers and other clutter. Just looked messy. Ordered cheese curds and a beer. Cheese curds tasted like they were frozen appetizers, and the beer cheese was super watery. Did not taste good at all. Carcosa is not for us.

This place is so pretty and full of potential. The espresso martini selection is creative and genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, everything else fell flat. The service, ambience, and food were a huge letdown. The vibe hints at something coollike it should be blasting 80s new wave but instead it’s just another sports bar with TVs and audio blaring sports. The food was bland, uninspired, and honestly worse than typical bar food. Overall, really meh jock bar with cool drinks.

Such a great spot! Cocktails were great, the food menu has perfect variety with something for everyone. My group had the fried chicken sandwich, lounge burger, and chicken avocado panini and all were really tasty! We’ll definitely be back for trivia on thursdays. Make sure you dress for the weather though- they have huge garage doors that let in a lot of fresh air so in hindsight I dressed way too warm for August! There’s also a nice outdoor sitting area. Can’t wait to go back!

I really wanted to like this place since it’s part of YK. Unfortunately, service was extremely poor but no fault of the waitress as she was the only one working the entire restaurant besides for kitchen staff. She was the only one taking food orders, drinks, etc. This made the entire experience disappointing as we had to wait for her for plates but she was in the back trying to get other food out or making other drinks. She also had to rush to make drinks so they were probably slightly subpar but again no fault of hers but management. Also, there was no blue cheese or ranch for the wings which was strange.

I am going to give some grace because they’ve only been open a few weeks with the grand opening on Friday. I hope to be able to return and give this place 5 stars.

I am obsessed with their sister Yellow King Brews so maybe by expectations were too high. We got boneless wings, a pretzel, chicken avocado panini, spicy chicken wrap, and the fried chicken sandwich.

The pretzel was great (but YKB already had this). We all enjoyed it.

The wings were chicken tenders cut in half and flattened. The flavor was ok but the texture is strange. I don’t know how they can call these boneless wings though.

The panini was something I could make at home. The bread was similar to what Cafe Ra had back in the day. But the rest of the sandwich had no sparkle at all.

The wrap was tasty and the only meal that was enjoyed.

The fries were ok but nothing special or unique.

The fried chicken sandwich as good but no special sauce and also nothing unique.

The drinks and coffee at YKB are all SO unique and delicious. So when they were expanding and dabbling in food I was really excited. The expansion is mainly kitchen area. The lounge area is small compared to next door. The seating is nice and the additional outdoor / open air space is a nice vibe. I just need them to up the food game! It’s not bad but it’s nothing special either! Truly for the same price ($100) for bar food, I’d rather go uptown to Archie’s to eat and stick to YKB for my Saturday coffees.

Also, my reward points never took. I told someone right away and she said they would the next day. I then went for coffee 5 days later and no rewards showing. So be careful!

I want them to succeed and I want them to improve the food game bc I have been a fan of YKB since day one!

I appreciate the effort but you’ll probably die of thirst while the bartender makes endless fights of espresso martinis.
