The food was outstanding- we didn’t have a single complaint about any of the plates we shared. The table side Caesar salad was fantastic with the buttery house made croutons, but the star of the show for me was the spicy rigatoni! We also shared the meatballs – super tender and flavorful. We tried both the tiramisu and carrot cake for dessert. Both were equally delicious, but the carrot cake was surprisingly the table favorite. The drinks were also well made and presented nicely.
Both Piero and Luis took great care of us and were both knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to our table the whole evening. The service was unmatched! I will definitely be back again soon and it was the perfect choice for my birthday dinner.
The service was outstanding! Our servers were so friendly and helpful, and the manager came by multiple times to check in on us and talked us through the menu, offering great recommendations. That level of care really stood out and made the experience feel extra special.
The overall experience was amazing, and somehow the food was even better. The Caesar salad being made right in front of you was such a fun touch, and the croutons were so delicious. We also ordered the calamari, which did not disappoint. The Chicken Cacciorte and Salmon Oreganata were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. I only wish I didn’t get full so fast so I could’ve finished everything at the table.
We also enjoyed two espresso martinis, which were excellent and the perfect complement to the meal. We absolutely cannot wait to go back to try their other popular dishes and wine. A true 10/10 experience all around!
I ordered the dish that put Carbone on the map (the rigatoni), and since it’s meatless, the bartender suggested the meatballs — a blend of veal, beef, and pork. I’m not usually a pork fan, but these were excellent and well-balanced. The pasta was cooked properly al dente, something that’s surprisingly hard to find and very much appreciated.
Service was excellent across the board. Lou, who managed the list, was cordial and inviting, asked me to relax on the sofa, and even offered a recommendation for a grapefruit soda since I don’t drink alcohol — a thoughtful touch. The bartender (I believe his name was Jimmy) was attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming without hovering.
Compared to the Miami Beach location, which feels more tourist-heavy and reservation-dependent, Carbone Vino felt more relaxed, more inviting, and more “at home.” The staff was clearly well-trained, roles were defined, uniforms were sharp, and the hierarchy worked seamlessly — classic, old-school hospitality done right.
They knocked it out of the park. I’ll absolutely be back.
Special thanks to all staff members and Michael Casanova for helping me make this night very special for my Husband. Fully recommend the restaurant. I know if you follow my recommendations you will be amazed with Service and Food! Thanks to Chef and everyone involved!!
The ambiance at Carbone Vino strikes a great balance: elegant, intimate, and atmospheric, but still comfortable. The lighting, music, and overall design create a setting that feels special for an occasion while still being inviting enough for a relaxed meal. It’s the kind of space where you want to linger a little longer.
We ordered two pasta dishes—the pumpkin agnolotti and the spicy rigatoni vodka—and both were exceptional. The pumpkin agnolotti had a rich, velvety filling with a perfect hint of sweetness balanced by savory notes in the sauce. The spicy rigatoni was exactly what you’d hope for: a deep, layered heat that builds but never overwhelms, and pasta cooked to that ideal al dente firmness. We also had the chicken cacciatore, which was incredibly flavorful, hearty, and comforting, with a sauce that felt slow-developed and well-seasoned.
For dessert, we chose the cannoli. While Carbone Vino does not offer complimentary birthday desserts (something to be aware of if you’re planning a celebration), the staff did present the cannoli with a birthday candle, which added a personal touch and made the moment feel festive. The cannoli itself was excellent—crispy shell, creamy filling, balanced sweetness.
Overall, the evening felt celebratory, smooth, and memorable. The quality of the food, the professionalism of the service, and the charm of the atmosphere all came together beautifully. While prices are on the higher side and nothing is comped for a special occasion, the experience as a whole justified the cost. We left very satisfied and would absolutely return for another dinner or celebration in the future.
I definitely recommend so many dishes but most of all the spicy rigatoni!! it’s never a miss.
