We visited Carbone Dallas for Valentine’s Day and had an incredible experience from start to finish. Despite it being a very busy night with a fixed menu, everything felt seamless — from being seated to the pacing of the meal. The service was friendly, polished, and attentive without ever feeling rushed, and the restaurant somehow maintained an intimate atmosphere even at full capacity.
Every course was delicious. We started with the carpaccio and Caesar salad, and added the oysters with caviar, which ended up being the best thing I ate all night. The spicy rigatoni was as amazing as always, followed by excellent meatballs, a perfectly cooked filet, and a fantastic veal parmesan.
Dessert absolutely lived up to the rest of the meal — the lemon cheesecake was incredible, and the hazelnut terrine was the perfect finish.
Overall, an outstanding dining experience with exceptional food, flawless service, and an atmosphere that made a special occasion feel truly special.

We dined here to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The service was excellent. The three-course meal was delicious. Everything the captain brought to the table from the bread to the drinks to the entrees and sides to the dessert was top tier. It was among the best food I’ve ever had. Several of us had to use the restroom, and they too were clean and pleasant.

Overall, a very solid place for good Italian food.
We came here for drinks and dinner. The cocktails were good. The complimentary bread basket and meat were fantastic and honestly worth paying for. The calamari batter was very light and had a unique taste/texture without being overly greasy. It was one of our favorites. The spicy rigatoni was also excellent. The fettuccine con funghi was flavorful, but the fettuccine was a bit overcooked. Not quite bad enough to send back, but definitely on the mushier side. The veal parmesan was disappointing, and we wished we got something else instead. The tiramisu was excellent (and huge). Overall, it was a nice meal. It was not the best Italian we had, but it was solid. Personally, I think that the pricing is a bit steep for what it is.

The atmosphere and the service were a 12/10 exceeded expectations. The bread was to die for, so were the cheese, salami and pickled cauliflower 12/10 as well. The only drink I had was an espresso martini that was strong but very flavorful 9/10. The spicy rigatoni was immaculate. Overall a very solid meal and place.

Really can’t get any better. The service is everything you could imagine it should be. Food is amazing. The vibe is also top tier. The Spicy Rigatoni is the best pasta dish I’ve ever tasted and it’s always sooo perfect

We went here for my son’s 20th birthday. The music and ambiance was great! Service is excellent but be aware to ask about prices of specials. We paid wwwaaaayyy too much for a steak that’s was average. Overall worth going at least once. Meatballs were fine, bread basket is delicious, great wine selection, rigatoni is amazing but steak is overpriced. Comes sliced which is nice.

Ordered the calamari marco, meatballs, orecchiette vito with squash agrodolce, and the spicy rigatoni vodka with potato Louie. We received complimentary bread, salumi, parmesan and cauliflower. The bread wasn’t to my liking except the garlic bread. The cauliflower was pickled. There were some onions in there too, which really tasted great. I would have preferred more onions over the cauliflower. The calamari comes with a sauce. they ask you if you prefer on the side or poured on top (preferred by the chef). We had them pour it on top. It was good but, next time I’ll ask for it on the side. The calamari on the bottom was soggy. The meatballs were a hit with my wife. I thought it was ok, only because I’m not a fan of Italian sausage. The orecchiette pasta was way to al dente, it was a bit chewy and tough. It was very savory. It also had sausage, which I pushed to the side. The squash was a surprise hit for me. So sweet and buttery. My favorite of the night. I tried the spicy rigatoni and I can see why it’s very popular. The pasta was al dente (the right way). The potatoes were not to our liking. We alao had dessert. My wife liked her tiramisu icecream and the carrot cake was ok. Overall, the food was good. Taste is subjective but preparation is not. The restaurant was very beautiful and charming. The staff from the valet to the runners and everyone in between were great and friendly. I wish I had asked our waitress’s name. She regularly checked up on us, very friendly and helpful. Would I come back? I would.

A pretty good spot for some Italian. They provide some really amazing complimentary bread, parm, salami, and cauliflower.
Carbone is known for the spicy rigatoni which is good, but I think the lobster ravioli was better.
Overall, really good service, but I think you can get better (and cheaper) Italian other places in Dallas.
They have matchbooks if you’re a collector!

Perfect for Business dinners, special occasions, and the best date night spot in D! Food is awesome, felt like I was in Manhattan, but service was the best. Spicy Rigatoni, Caesar, Carpaccio were awesome per usual, sleepers on the menu are the crudos, baked clams, orechettie, and the Dover Picatta. Dry Aged Wagyu Cowboy Ribeye, grilled perfectly. Lemon cheesecake and coconut sorbet with the rum cart is the best for dessert. Carrot cake is awesome too, with the Ginger gelato and cream cheese icing was delicious. Julia was our captain for this particular dinner, service and support team was flawless. From the front door, Sommelier, and server assistant. Drinks from the bar were brilliant. Aperol spritz, espresso martinis were perfect. The Negroni *ordered mine with mezcal was my favorite.

Be prepared for sticker shock when the bill arrives. Had I known to ask about pricing beforehand, I likely would have reconsidered ordering certain dishes — particularly the yellowtail hamachi crudo. For roughly eight pieces, the $58 price tag felt excessive, especially given that the sashimi was overly salty. The oysters were similarly heavy-handed with seasoning.
Another surprise was the dessert presentation. A cart is brought to the table displaying an array of tempting options — yet no prices are listed. It’s an effective sales tactic, as few diners at an upscale restaurant feel comfortable asking for prices in that moment. The result? A $25 charge for a modest slice of chocolate hazelnut cake. Rigatoni spicy vodka tasted like the store bought carbones spicy vodka sauce you make yourselves.
For the price point, the overall quality and execution simply did not justify the cost. There are far better options — including smaller, independent Italian restaurants — where the food feels thoughtfully prepared and fairly priced. In my view, this establishment is more about the image than the substance: overhyped, overpriced, and geared toward impressing rather than delivering a truly memorable dining experience.
