The food was pretty good but they are scammers, at the end of the meal we paid and signed the checks then after we were told by the server to leave a cash tip instead since the restaurant keeps the tips and said they wouldn’t charge the tip on the card so I left a cash tip instead and then I come to find out they also charged me the credit card tip. This is so outrageous and sucks that they feel the need to scam people. I was trying to be nice but didn’t expect them to take advantage of me like this. IF YOU COME HERE TO EAT PLEASE DONT LEAVE CASH TIPS AFTER ALREADY SIGNING A TIP ON A CARD, THEY WILL ROB YOU!!!!

I always get chicharron whenever at a caridad-style spot. It was the driest pork belly I’ve ever had. The portions on everything was ridiculously inadequate and definitely over priced. After we paid the owner who says he cooks on certain days told us to come by again, telling us when he’s in the kitchen it’s different. Ha~ I would never go back there again.
On the upside, the server didn’t speak any English, no hospitality experience, possibly under age to have a job(?) and very anxious because she could tell my Spanish wasn’t as good as she thought, I’ve been told I have great pronunciation. Nonetheless, she was extremely attentive and you can see she was trying her best.
PS – Just look at the abundant shrimps…
We asked for more sauce for the mofongo and they gave us ‘another’ 2 oz. to-go portion cup with a lid.

I first tried this restaurant by recommendation from my nephew. My daughter and I were instantly blown away by the pollo guisado. The owner and staff are truly top-tier. I live 3 hours away and never miss a chance to come here when I’m in the DMV area!

Outrageously taking advantage of Doordash “virtual brand” to push a scam on infrequent delivery orderers like myself. Pitiful serving sizes. Ordered pechuga a la plancha and what arrived was the sparsest, thinnest portion of chicken I’ve ever seen from a restaurant, accompanied by the blandest tostones I’ve ever had. Worst $20 for a plate I’ve ever spent.

We happened to see this place on our way to a different restaurant and decided to stop. Best decision ever! We loved what we had, mofongo was better than all other Dominican places in the area and the picadura was on point. Oh and they had morisoñando ❤️ we will be back!

This place is small. Only 4 tables and counter with bar seating. Our order included empanadas (white cheese there’s a difference), maduros, sopa de mondongo (tripe) served with white rice, chuletas ordered with choice white rice and beans, lastly Pollo guisado served with choice of Moro. For drink jugos frescos chinola (passion fruit) & Tamarindo.
If there’s something on the menu you really want i.e. sancocho CALL AHEAD to check availability.

This restaurant is fine they just dont understand. They are not really rude. The plantain is ok until people start muttering from outside ruining meal purchases. I usually only order one thing from them. 2 ounce taste problem again.

:-0 places like this deters me from odering via Uber. I just called to speak with a manger and a lady hung up twice stating she doesn’t speak english. I asked her “puedo hablar con el director?” and she STILL hung up. I ordered frIed chicken, rice and beans. THE CHICKEN SMELLED OFF, SLIMY/SHINY in the middle and some pieces were DARKER than dark meat should be. The CHICKEN was NOT FRESH the skin was VERY odd looking and PALE too. Disappointed I was really looking forward to this meal.
