We are a fast-casual restaurant with a small take home market component, located in Northeast Minneapolis. Our menu offers an array of items, including sandwiches, grain bowls, salads, soups, and sides with all of our meats and veggies cooked on a charcoal grill. All of our items are made in-house, or are sourced from awesome local partners. You can dine-in, order takeout, curbside pickup, or get delivery from DoorDash right through our online menu. We’re also now available to order from on UberEats.

I was brought here by my sister without having read the positive reviews, so we felt like we stumbled on a gem! The service was really friendly and the sandwiches were really good. I’ve never been a Rhuben girlie, but the Rye bread with the corned beef and swiss cheese were perfect. I hope to come back soon–it really felt like a genuine good food good people experience.

I got the BLT, and it was awesome! Probably the thickest bacon I’ve ever seen. The side salad was also good and included cucumber, tomatoes, and a nice vinaigrette dressing. But my favorite thing was their homemade pickles – so fresh and delicious! If they sold them by the jar, I’d buy some for sure. I think their potato chips are homemade as well. Come check out this tasty local spot!

Ordered the chicken cheese steak, grilled cheese with added pesto, tomato soup, and coleslaw. While the chicken was really good, the bread on both sandwiches was stale, the grilled cheese didn’t come with the extras we payed for, neither meal came with chips like it was supposed to, and the slaw had definitely gone bad. I tried to call to get a partial refund, but nobody picked up. Not the best $50 spent.

After ordering, I sat for about 5 min before the person that took my order went in the back to find someone to work on the order. This is an open concept kitchen, so it was clear that no one was preparing it from my vantage point. Eventually someone emerged from the backroom sweeping the floors and moving things around. After continuing to clean and pick things up off the floor, the person at the counter agin mentioned to them they had an order, and the person sweeping set the broom down, ran her hand through her hair, coughed into her hands, took out her ear bud, and then began to make my food, all without washing her hands or putting on gloves. She got the order started, then went back to sweeping a bit, coughed again into her hands, and then finished building my sandwich, again without any hand washing. I’m not trying to complain too much, but I figured for a $18 sandwhich, I shouldn’t have to worry about the food safety/health of the person preparing it. I ended up leaving without saying anything, but tossed the sandwhich when I got home as I had lost my appetite. Please check in with your staff preparing the food and go over basic food safety standards with them, this was not an enjoyable experience and I will not be back.

Oh good gravy, I can’t begin to explain how good their Ruben Sandwich is! Side salad also on par with what tastes like homemade dressing. The side of homemade chips is a surprise bonus of deliciousness.
Second time grabbing take out from here and the flavor and quality are just solid!

About a 4.2 overall – this was an excellent sandwich shop, after visiting a couple times more recently it is still good but not quite what it was. Carefully sourced product still exists I think, including trout smoked in-house which was used in the trout reuben which remains my favorite. The bread/bun quality seems to have changed as well as the overall size of the sandwiches – with the cost going up. Service is still decent and the online ordering works well. They do have some seating as well as seating outside on the sidewalk. Still recommend. Will be back.

I can’t believe we were the only people in here. I mean, this place is a gem. The Dipper and the Hot Club with trout were 10/10, no question. The attention to detail in these sandwiches and the smoking process was not lost on us, we can’t wait to come back! Very friendly, skilled staff

I get Reubens at nearly every restaurant I go to and, let me tell you, the Reuben at Carbon is exquisite and beyond delicious. My only regret is that I was too full from the glorious monster of a sandwich that I have to wait until tomorrow to eat my harvest salad!
Staff was so friendly and welcoming! We chatted about life, the pandemic, and the such. They talked me through my first visit and made sure I got exactly what I wanted and that I was happy with it when arrived in what felt like a split second.
My visit here felt like a visit to a friends house and I will certainly be back soon!

Get the Reuben with chips! I have a feeling all of their sandwiches are killer. I’ll be back for sure. Chips were super light and crispy. Sandwich was hot, fresh, and smokey. I overheard two other tables comment on how tasty their sandwiches are.
