Our experience today was top notch. My husband and I decided to take a drive before tomorrow’s forecasted snow storm. We stopped at Caravia Fresh Foods and enjoyed delicious soup and sandwiches. I had the Roma and Roasted Red Pepper soup. My husband had the farmhouse stack as a wrap, and chicken noodle soup. Everything was fresh and delicious. They do have half a dozen or so 2-person high top tables if you would like to eat in. There were so many things I wanted to try that I did bring home a few of the salads & also eggplant parm. Their drink selection also ranges from the usual basics as well as some unique options. The Haney & Son’s mint iced tea was delicious. Im not one for sugary drinks but don’t like artificial sweetener either. This was unsweetened and refreshing. Perfect compliment to my lunch combo. I’ve had sandwiches like this in Europe where they are sold at vendors in train stations and cafes. It’s hard to find something like this here. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed it. It would be the perfect place to stop before a picnic to fill your basket. They also sell fresh produce, jams, mustards, & a multitude of specialty items. We will definitely be back. For us it is absolutely worth the drive.

We wanted to grab a quick bite before going to Lahey Family Park. This was one of the first places to pop up with striking pictures. The shop is decent size with some upscale grocery items to grab and go. The star of the show is the deli in the back of the store. They do have grab and go salads but you want to order a sandwich. They have a great selection of fresh options from Italians to ceaser salad wraps. All very reasonably priced for what delicious treats they prepare for you. While you wait pick a fancy drink and a bag of chips to pair with your sandwich. I tried the Roma on a baguette, I loved the cutlet and toppings. Definitely order it hot to amp up the flavor. I cannot wait to go back and pick up more things.

I came in and ordered a Greek salad with chicken, and had to wait about 30 minutes to get it. About half way through my meal I realized there was something in my mouth that I couldn’t chew. I pulled out what appeared to be a brown piece of plastic. I looked around in the container and there was no brown plastic, but I big piece of tissue! Needless to say my appetite was ruined, and I won’t be going back.

Their deli section in the back of the store is PERFECT and fresh. On the way home from Delaware, my mom and I stopped here to get some dinner. We both got the Tuscan Chicken Salad, and we both loved it. I especially love the fact that Caravia makes their sandwiches/salads from scratch. Even when there are none left, they still will make it for you. 🙂 Unfortunately, we had gotten there at 6:25… which made us worried if there was going to be anything left for us to eat. But when all seemed hopeless… a Caravia worker asked us if they could make something for us. And they did!!! Not only am I AMAZED by the customer service, but also the quality and taste of the food. I WILL be back. 🙂

So I ordered my usual southwest chicken sandwich. Honestly so good. Today the girl made a mistake and handed it to someone else. I totally understand because it could happen to anyone. But instead of just handing me another sandwich they handed me a bag with chips and the sandwich and said its on the house. That type of customer service is hard to find. Thank you!

Quite disappointing. Not worth the price. Not what they used to be. Not what I would call an authentic Italian deli at all. Sandwich literally had the bare minimum of all specified fillings other then the 2 cheapest, spinach and onion. Won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Caravia has catered multiple family events for my family over the years. Excellent food and quality every time. Pop in for fresh veggies or sandwiches on a weekday is always a hit with the family. Super find in Clarks Summit.

Fresh and tasty food! I been meaning to stop in ever since I first had their catering food at work for a party. I made a point to ask where’s the food from?! Because even just their salad was delicious, mind you the great variety of delicious sandwiches. Since I was in the area recently, I stopped in for the first time and order 2 sandwiches; the Southwest Chicken and Bahn Mi Italiano. Loved it! The place is very nice and well kept, staff is helpful and the owner was very friendly and gave me free chocolates. Will make sure to stop in soon again and try the other foods off the menu/deli case.
