Edit: I did enjoy this place at first, but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be returning. I found a hair in my food, which was extremely disgusting and completely ruined the experience for me. After that, I have no desire to eat here again.
Caramelo Café is definitely a cool spot with a really nice vibe. The space feels modern and cozy, making it a good place to grab breakfast or brunch whether you’re with friends, family, or just taking yourself out. It is on the pricier side though for two people, you’ll usually end up spending around $70 before the tip, so just be prepared for that.
My go-to order here is always the Chipotle Chilaquiles. They have a perfect balance of flavor not too spicy but still packed with a good kick. I like to add a side of protein, which makes the portion feel more filling. And their coffee is always on point hot, rich, and smooth.
One thing I really appreciate about this place is the staff. They’re always super friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which makes the whole experience feel worth it.
If you’re planning to come on a weekend, do yourself a favor and join the waitlist ahead of time through the Yelp app. The line can get long, and checking in online saves a lot of waiting around.

I visited this place for the first time after seeing it on TikTok. While the heart balloon decor was cute, the water jug the server brought had noticeable water spots.
I ordered the Waikiki Crepe combo with eggs, sausage, and fries, plus a vanilla latte. The food was just okay—the presentation was not very nice and didn’t live up to the hype. It’s an average spot, but not the best breakfast around. On the plus side, there is plenty of free parking available.

What a gem!! Very Hispanic joint but I felt very comfortable. The lattes and churros are perfect. This is like an old style Cafe. Breakfast and lunch looked great. The place was packed. The service was excellent. I was looking for a place to work for an hour and stumbled here. Highly recommend it.

Honestly I enjoy the people and the company here. Everytime I come in the food comes out fresh and hot. I usually get an omelet and sub the toast for a pancake. My friend Julio always checks on me and says hello whenever I come in, even if he’s not my sever, and when I have a Togo order. The staff is reliable and management takes care of there guest. This gem of a cafe is worth all the hype. Just make sure to make a reservation to avoid any wait times. And when you do leave a review, so we can know how you food review!!!

Before you read the review I have to say that I’m wrong and the lovely lady that helped us was really nice. Now it took longer as they were short staffed.
I also did said (estas mamadas) which was wrong on my part. The place has good food and great staff.

I have been to this place twice, I got there at 11:35 the order 1 crepe, 1 sandwich, 1 order of chilaquiles
The place was prob half full, i took almost an hour for the dry chilaquiles we are still waiting for a sandwich…
12:33 got the chilaquiles
12:35 got the sandwich
Had to send the chilaquiles back!!!
10 minutes later they are back and made they way they are supposed to be done they were good.
My experience may be different than others please support the place and the great team of employees.

My husband and I came here for breakfast and were extremely satisfied with what we ordered. I had the green Chilaquiles and Cafe de Olla. So what can I say…… The green chile was excellent! It was a bit spicy and had a hint of lemon and tomatillo taste to it. The chips were crunchy with a mix of some soft ones. They were perfect in my opinion. I ordered my eggs “over medium” and those were perfect too.
I will definitely be a returning customer here at Caramelo Cafe.

Been here for breakfast several times and they never fail. Everything was absolutely delicious. Can’t decide which chilaquiles are my favorite, green, red or chipotle. Maybe chipotle has a slight edge cause of the creamy sauce. Regardless they are perfectly crunchy. The artisanal chorizo is so savory. Highly recommended.

While the food was satisfactory, the customer service left me disappointed. The establishment has the potential to improve, and it is crucial for employees to maintain a professional demeanor, especially when serving customers. Part of my order was missing, so I called the restaurant to request a refund for the coffee that never arrived. The woman I spoke with was extremely rude and insisted that I come into the restaurant to pick it up. I explained that I did not want a replacement and was requesting a refund instead. She then told me that they were “not offering refunds at the moment,” which makes no sense.
I let her know that I do not have a way to get to the restaurant, yet she continued to say there was nothing she could do. When I asked to speak with a manager, she refused to transfer me. To make matters worse, not only was my coffee missing, but there was also hair in my food.
I was genuinely excited to try this place, but after this experience, I will not be returning or recommending it to anyone. Keeping a customer’s hard-earned money when food is missing and contaminated is unacceptable. Saying “we’re not offering refunds at the moment” does not excuse missing items or unsanitary food. This experience was completely unprofessional and disgusting.
