We came in to Cara Mia tonight with a group of 6. People. Our waitress Ema was an amazing server and we enjoyed our meal from start to finish because of her extremely attentive service . We did not have to ask for anything — she was always one step ahead . It is not often you get service like that . We tried to give compliments to a manager but could not find anyone. ! Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. We will be coming back !

Hands down, Cara Mia is a true South Shore gem. The food is consistently fresh, and the meatballs are an absolute must-try. The staff is excellent—always friendly and welcoming—and they make you feel like part of the family every time you visit.

They don’t take reservations. We went in on a Saturday at 7 pm and we were seated at 8 pm. We didn’t mind we say by the bar and they texted us when our table was ready. The food was good and service was great.

I loved this restaurant! I went with my boyfriend and sat outside and enjoyed the prettiest view. I also enjoyed that the service was prompt and that our waitress was very courteous. Finally, the food was delicious and was enough for leftovers, which I appreciated.

My mom threw my baby shower here yesterday and I’m so happy with how everything went! She couldn’t have chosen a better place. The restaurant is beautiful! It’s on the smaller side and has an intimate ambience to it. The food is delicious and the portion size is very generous. The staff were also so kind! Sergio and the rest of the staff were so accommodating and helpful with the set up of the event as well as throughout the entirety of the party. Would highly recommend this place for hosting a party or even just for a meal out!

We were close by for an event and just happened to find Cara Mia from a Google map search. And so glad we did. Our table shared a lasagna and also a custom pasta created by our incredible server, Danielle. Not only was the food and atmosphere lovely (we sat outdoors) we throughly enjoyed meeting Danielle. She really showed how much she cared for making our meal a beautiful experience without ever feeling like an overwhelming presence. If management is reading this I just have to say how great Danielle did and left my parents visiting from Texas for the Ryder cup talking about how warm and welcoming the people of New York are.

Classic Italian, well established restaurant. A small place, cozy and personal, nicely decorated, and table cloths makes this place stand out. Your water glass is never left empty! We lived down the block, it was convenient and frequently ate here but have moved away now and took the ride, but unfortunately we’ll think twice about making the trip again.
The acoustic are terrible, you can’t hear the people at your table unless you want to compete with everyone else in the restaurant, which causes the problem in the first place.
The Calamari Arrabbiata, was not up to par… Very little sauce, made it dry, but also a little too chewy to recommend (probably will not get again either).
Oh one more critical opinion before I get to the two excellent meals we had. Only two entrees were brought out and it took forever for the other two in our party to get theirs. This happens quite often in some other restaurants, and I haven’t noticed it here in the past, hopefully it was just a one time occurrence. I want to believe the two Sicilian dishes we were waiting for were having something special done to them, because they are unique and so delicious! If you like chicken parm. and eggplant parm, this is the perfect “marriage”…a must try. Also another cool alternative to chicken caprese is the grilled chicken bruschetta, super tender nice balsamic flavor, so good! ( See pics of both of these entrees)
Ahhh, we had the small hot antipasto and overall it was pretty good, but small is “small” I guess(for example, one shrimp, one clam) and lots of breading on top, still could be a good choice. Check out their menu for lots of other food choices!

Wow was this place amazing! The staff was so nice and the food was top notch! Probably had one of the best eggplant parms I ever had! The garlic bread parm and the egg rolls with sausage broccoli robe and mozzarella were incredible! Everything was amazing and I can’t wait to go back!!

The food here was really outstanding, not to mention inventive. Italian egg rolls filled with sausage and broccoli rabe? FANTASTIC!
All around quality Italian food, with a good atmosphere – classy, but not so stuffy that kids would feel uncomfortable.

I highly recommend going here.

MAR 2021 In Seaford, NY, Cara Mia’s is a great place, delicious food and the best team. They have no problem adjusting the menu to your taste. Cara Mia is one of our favorites go-to places, and we have been here many times. You know your is a good place when you walk in are greeted warmly, and all the team members also greet you on the way to your table (With all proper covid precautions observed), and your preferred cocktails arrive tableside as you sit down. The food and wine are outstanding. The wine list is well balanced and refined for a classic Italian family restaurant. If you are looking for a special bottle of wine, ask Sergio it is impressive what he can find in the cellar. The food is outstanding. Our cocktails arrived promptly during our latest visit, a Woodford reserve on the rocks for me and a fine Cosmopolitan for Jo.
Along with the cocktails came a warm bread basket with both butter and oil. We opened with a Caesar salad and Italian Egg rolls. The Caesar salad is a generous portion with very crisp fresh romaine lettuce, crisp full-flavored croutons, and a rich tangy Caesar dressing. The Egg roll is a delicious invention of broccoli rabe, crumbled sweet Italian sausage all pack into a traditional egg roll and platted with a rich marinara sauce and dusted with grated parmesan cheese. For the mains, Jo had the Flounder Francese and I the grilled veal chop paired with a glass of Amicone (a baby Amarone). The Flounder Francese arrives at tableside, piping hot, lightly battered, and sitting in a light white wine and lemon sauce. The fish was moist, flaky with a beautiful golden crust. There was more than enough to take home or share. The veal chop was done perfectly with a light golden-brown char while the center remained tender and moist. The chop rested atop a generous portion of broccoli rabe sauteed in oil and garlic. A large side of sauteed spinach accompanied the dish. I could have had one of the side portions of pasta with a wide selection of sauces, but I was attempting to limit my carbs (OK, saving them for the wine). They are quite a few beautiful desserts, but we were both stuffed and had lots of take-homes, so we passed on the desserts this time. Cara Mia’s is a fine place to visit, and I look forward to the warmer weather and the opening of the outside dining. For more local food and wine commentary check out liwinedad.blogspot.com
