I ordered the whole fried catfish. I got about 4 little fish that had hardly any meat. Meal said it came with slaw and a side. When I ordered I was asked which 2 sides I wanted. Slaw was not a choice, so I ordered okra and potato wedges. I mentioned that I thought my meal was served with slaw and was told I should have ordered it. No offer of slaw given. I wanted ketchup for my okra. I was handed a plastic bottle with literally about an inch of dried ketchup at the bottom and was told that “someone” was filling up the ketchup. Also asked for napkins that never came. Finally walked up to the front register to ask for these things again. Waitress heard me and said she would be “right there” the person at the register handed me 2 napkins. Then waitress did show up with another bottle of ketchup that was less than half full and looked old. My god people!!! I brought my Mama here for a good supper. Instead it sucked. I paid over $50. Edited to say that I asked where they sourced the catfish from and I guess that was too much to ask. Walking through the entryway some said “Halifax?” or something like that. Took me a minute to realize they were attempting to answer my question about the fish. Was told the manager was away. My goodness folks, this is not good. I will attempt to speak with someone if they ever show back up. Dang it!

Didn’t really want to eat here, thinking it would be only fried foods. Got there and found some nice sandwiches. Got a Philly Cheese Steak and it was awesome. Not only was the meat great, but the peppers and onions were cooked perfectly as well. The waitress also kept my glass filled consistently.

Quite place to dine in. Very nice and polite staff. Quick drive through pick up call in window. Food absolutely amazing.order is correct everytime. Me and my wife always get the large salt and pepper jumbo shrimp and large salt and pepper chicken strips with fried squash and baked potatoes then we split the orders between us. My absolute without a doubt favorite seafood restaurant. The salt and pepper fried oysters are out of this world!only open i think 3:30 to 8:30 pm Thursday through Saturday night. Worth the try.

We order from here occasionally and the last 3 times our orders have not been right or something missing. Twice I overlooked it. I to work in a restaurant. Tonight I called back and told them that the order was supposed to have Cold Boiled Shrimp and it didn’t. I called back and told them that I didn’t get the Cold Boiled Shrimp and that someone one was coming to get it. When he got there they showed him the ticket and they had wrote down Calabash Shrimp. That was their mistake and not mine so they didn’t give it to the guy that was nice enough to drive 20 minutes to get. At the restaurant I work for we always make good our mistakes. (The Customer Is Always Right). I have never written a bad review but this really upset me. I have been in the food service for 40 years.

I’ve been to Captain Pete’s 2 times now. The food is good and do you get a lot, wow. My one friend got the Captain Pete’s sampler, and he ate for a week. We had the save server both times, and she’s great, friendly, attentive, and knows the menu inside out. The dining area is pretty basic, but if that helps keep prices down, it doesn’t bother me. Keep it up, Captain Steve. Next time I’m in Maiden, I’m stopping in again.

I usually enjoy going here to pick up dinner. But lately there’s a new woman running the front register. She has no idea what she’s doing and she’s incredibly rude. She forgot to give me my change today and when I said, very politely, ma’am you still owe me the $5, she opened the register and LITERALLY threw it on the counter. Like it was MY fault. Then she tossed my food bag on the counter when it was ready! I didn’t see the owner in the kitchen today or I’d have said something to him. The last time I was there she couldn’t figure out how to run my debit card. The time before that she wrote my order down wrong and then got an attitude with me when I brought it back inside!!
