Just an hour’s drive north of Manhattan, the Captain’s Table offers live band music on weekends, and a satisfying dining experience 7 days a week. Over an 86 year time span, this Orange County landmark has grown from a road-side rest stop for weary travelers along old Rt. 17, to its current local prominence as the fun place to go when family and friends need a recharge and a great meal!

Came here with two girlfriends and we all loved the ambience, the food and the wait staff. The restroom was immaculate. It was quiet so we could have a conversation. We all are on special diets. One of us have ill-fitting dentures making eating painful, and required soft foods. Another one of us is on a weight loss diet. And I am diabetic, low salt, low fat and sugar-free diet. Our server was very careful to check with the chef to be sure he was able to accommodate our diets.
We felt very at home, relaxed, weren’t rushed and our food was fresh. All the staff and diners were in a wonderful mood. Yes, we will return!

Great spot to get a quick bite to eat and drinks. Awesome service and always clean tables. Variety of outdoor activities as well. Full volleyball in the back as well as multiple bars. This place is amazing. Great food and great service. The staff here makes you feel at home. So pleasant and welcoming. For appetizers we ordered the buffalo wings , pretzels bites and buffalo dip with chips. For our main course I ordered the honey and bourbon salmon with mashed red potatoes and spinach. The salmon was so soft and the potatoes were well seasoned. My parents ordered the Ribeye steak with potatoes and vegetables and my brother ordered the steak sandwich with sweet potato fries.

We hosted a welcome party the night before our wedding in the private back room at Captain’s Table and they were amazing!!! I cannot say enough about how wonderful the serving and events staff were with us. Kathy was quick to respond with an email answer for any questions and set us up for success. The bartenders, servers, and hosts who staffed our event were professional, warm and hospitable. Our guests had an incredible time and loved the drinks and food. We had a number of people in our party with food allergies and they were able to accommodate us easily. Would highly recommend hosting your next event here!

This place is a longstanding Orange County favorite but new to me. I’ve been here about five times since the summer and every time I have a great meal but what really keeps me coming back is the fun vibe, friendly atmosphere and music. Tonight Hudson Blue band had everyone dancing and they are even more fun in the summer at the outdoor venue in the back with the beach and music hut. This place has three to four bars(outside front) and if you have any sports lovers, they will be sure to love the atmosphere too. Definitely will be back! Left with a happy heart

Great atmosphere and great service but the food was unfortunately underwhelming. The fried pickles were good but the fish fry left a lot to be desired. For a fish joint it was very disappointing. The fish was more like fish sticks vs an actual fillet and was very bland.

I’ve been here for both a dine-in experience to see my buddy’s band Identity Crisis play and to order platters to go last week. On both occasions the food was excellent, the staff friendly and efficient, and the clientele were pretty chill and down to earth. If I lived nearby this would be my go-to hangout.
