What a fun and relaxing restaurant experience . Also we noticed a boat docked belonging to the restaurant. The boat looked like it was rented for a birthday party. We sat outside on tables and the place was very busy inside but not that many people outside. There are lots of different rooms and it’s a large restaurant. It’s a casual place and menu not super fancy either. We had a very large bacon cheeseburger pizza. The crust tasted very good and many good toppings, bacon, onions and pickles. The waitress was very nice and worked quickly though the place was busy.

The old owners have returned. Do we miss Chris and Andrew!! Came in for their Thursday SPECIAL of Broasted Chicken, and they’ve reverted to their old ways. Arrived at 5:20 and put in our order. We left without getting our food at 6:45. The owners kept returning to our table saying 4 minutes, 6 minutes ,etc.etc. our food was going out the door for take out orders. Won’t be back. Sad because we’re local. A couple of tables left at the same time because of food service…
New owners since October 2022. SO MUCH BETTER than previous management! It’s like night and day. I had the Broasted Chicken and coleslaw, which was delicious. Met one of the new owners, Chris, who seems like just the nicest guy. Owns it with his son Andrew,whom I haven’t met yet. Our waitress, Lisa, was steller! Very attentive but not intrusive. Being new to Long Beach/Glenwood area ourselves, we’re grateful to have Captains in the area and under new ownership!

Started poorly by asking the waitress if she could wipe the table off… Since there were dead bugs and food crumbs.. her response made it seem like this is expected since we chose to dine outside.
Simple order of an appetizer and BLTs took about an hour in total for the food to be brought out on a Monday evening.
Ordered water and had to refill it ourselves on the patio… not a big deal but still not what I expect while dining on the lake.
Ordered a cocktail… Finished it… Did not get acknowledged or asked if I’d like another = missed sale.
Food quality wasn’t bad… But also was not great. The Brisket BLT brisket was overcooked and dry, everything else was out of a fryer or a basic BLT.
Very odd… But given a side of pickles… But only the ends of the pickles that no one eats
Overall, I would not make the 20 minute drive again, or would I recommend this compared to other options in the area. The bar atmosphere seemed positive at least!

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. Don’t get me wrong it’s a cool place on the lake with the open garage doors but is absolutely not worth it for the food quality and service. When we arrived, we were ignored for 15-20 minutes. Then when we were ready to order the server told us the kitchen was backed up and asked if we would wait 30 minutes to order, which we happily agreed to. That was our mistake… the server then proceeded to take other tables orders and we waited 2.5 hours in order to get our food. Full tables were sat after us and finished eating before we got our food. Once food arrived, orders were wrong and after so long we just had to take it. After expressing our frustrations (after being very accommodating) there was no sorry or any offer at all to comp any items from our bill. That is outrageous… we feel like we were robbed over $100 and 2.5 hours of our lives…

We ordered pizza and were able to pull up to dock from the lake for take out. Pizza was delicious, lots of cheese and soft thick crust! We will be back!
