Great place to bring the kids…and yourself. I tried the Tommy turtle sundae and it did not dissapoint. Candied pecans with caramel, topped with whipped cream and a cherry. For 6 bucks. You can get much better than that. Service was fast- they do have a drive through. Thanks for the great experience.

This has always been one of our favorite places in the West Michigan area. It is not only nostalgic, but it also never fails to provide exemplary service and flavors. Whenever I am back in town, I always make sure to stop by. The Turtle Sundae is UNDEFEATED!

Their service is always quick and they put on a smile, no matter how busy they are.
Ambiance is a fun family friendly environment. The one in North Holland even has a mini golf course!
Today I got their pulled pork for $4.5 or so and it tasted how I expected. Tasted like a GFS packaged meat and over sauced, but it wasn’t bad for wanting a quick bite of real food.

Ice cream not bad but my grievous simple , I was charged 6.00 for a small banana shake then I go back and I’m charged 5.00 for a medium? The reason I was given was we have several new people not that I was expecting a discount or compensation the fact that nothing was said beyond we have new people irks me

I REALLY want to love this place, but the service is always terrible. 4/5 my order comes out incorrectly. Hot fudge sundae with hard ice cream. Simple. Who knows what I’m actually paying for… am I paying for the price of the hot fudge sundae without the extra costs of hard ice cream. Are they charging me the premium costs and then giving me soft serve? Three attempts today for them to get it right. First order comes out with hard ice cream, no hot fudge. Second order comes out as a soft serve hot fudge sundae. Finally I get it right and the women says she couldn’t hear me when I ordered it. But she never asked any questions. Not even when she messed it up the first time! I generally just take the wrong order but this should be brought to the attention of the owners. 4 out of 5 times its wrong. Its not peak busy season which was what I was dismissing it to before.

Awesome selection of ice cream treats both hand-dipped and soft serve available and many specialty sundaes. Also have some hot food like Chicago dogs and BBQ sandwiches etc at very reasonable prices. Service is fast and the building and property are very clean. Fun for kids to sit in the pirate ship seating area.

Captain Sundae is hands-down our favorite ice cream spot! The sundaes are always loaded, creative, and absolutely delicious—every visit feels like a treat. The staff is friendly and efficient, even when the line is long (which it often is because it’s that good). The atmosphere is fun and family-friendly, and it’s the perfect stop after a beach day or just because. We keep coming back and recommending it to everyone we know. Captain Sundae never disappoints!
