Great spot for bbq and seafood! My family came in for their frog legs and ribs, but we have some food allergies. Deno did a great job of answering all of our concerns. Would highly recommend this place! Plus, they carry a variety of locally made soda (Glen Rock Pop) from Antioch, IL.

On our way into Wisconsin, Captain Porky’s looked like a great stop, and the wonderful smell sealed the deal. Upon entering, there were a lot of people standing around waiting, and with no real direction as to what to do. Was there a waitress? Do you order then seat yourself?

The pot pie was the best thing we had. Large portions of meat and vegetables. The potatoes were cooked properly with melted butter. The ribs were rubbery and lacked taste and texture. For what we got, the prices were high, and it wasn’t a great value. They had some great looking hats and shirts, but why pay more for a place that you hope to forget.

Everything was delicious from the BBQ to the seafood. The service was perfection and they also have a large selection of craft beers. The menu is huge, can’t wait to come back and try more items. Very reasonably priced as well.

A neat bbq restaurant in Waukegan.
I ordered the ribs and pulled pork. My fiance ordered the salmon. The pulled pork was tasty however the ribs were dry and tasted like they were sitting for a long time. My fiance told me the salmon tasted fishy and wasn’t good.

Just grubhubed in beef brisket. (Ive been to your restaurant. My daughters wedding was catered by your store) to the white farm.
Its inedible. I’ve never had such bad brisket. Tough dry chewy. Hope this is not the norm when using a food delivery service.

Saw this on the road up to Milwaukee. Thought it looked good due to being “seafood” focused. On the way back down to Chicago Suburbs we stopped here. Sooo good. Lots of people were going to the restaurant next door. It is a “normal restaurant”. Captain Porky’s you order at the front and then they bring your food to you; by calling out your name. We ordered Halibut with rice for my husband. For myself Lamb with greek potatoes and sautéed vegetables. Afterward a oreo cheesecake. Such a delicious satisfying meal ️. Cant wait to go back!

Man, the food was fire! I’ve never been to a setup that mixes BBQ and seafood like this before, everything hit perfectly. That Cajun chicken and catfish? Off the chain! No complaints, all praise. I think I just found a new addiction.

Tried the Cajun-style boil with jumbo shrimp, crawfish, potatoes, corn, and sausage, plus an order of fried pork belly. The jumbo shrimp were great—fresh and well seasoned—but the crawfish were tiny and pretty bland; I had one or two and left the rest. The coleslaw was a pleasant surprise and really tasty.

Overall, a mixed experience. I’d come back, but next time I’m skipping the crawfish and trying the chicken instead.

Some of the tastiest ribs I’ve ever had! I highly recommend getting the hotter sauce for them too it’s not too spicy at all. My girlfriend said her beef brisket was wonderful as well.
