You would never guess if the food is so good here. The pieces of fish are absolutely huge and very tasty. All of the sides seem really well done as well. I especially like the onion rings and zucchini.

Small little place by south sacramento by Kaiser. Was craving some fish and chips saw this place had good reviews so gave it a try walked in wasn’t to busy was greeted right away. Got 3 piece cod and chips with a side of shrimp. Nice crunch to the fish and shrimp really tasty. Im sure it was cooked to order as I did have to wait a moment for it but not that long so no issues there. 4 stars this time but will try again soon as it was good eats.

Been enjoying this place since 2020. Best fish and chips place in south sac. Super clean tasting and filling orders. Surprisingly their onion rings are some of the best I’ve had sweet and crunchy.

I always get the catfish and I like a lot of tartar sauce, and I gladly pay the extra $.75 for it. The tartar is great too. Every time I go there to eat, the food is super fresh!
The only thing I don’t like is they aren’t open on Sundays… that is a bummer. But- I get it. They’re family run. [That is probably their time together.] It may not look super fancy- just come and try it!

Old Skool place. Fish is deep fried as it should be. I pay the extra and get the Cod fish. The owner catches it every weekend. Small inside 8 tables.

This place doesn’t get old. I always get the Cod and Wifey gets the chicken. They cook the chicken in different oil then the fish, so your bird doesn’t taste like tuna. The oil is always fresh and the fish taste like it was caught yesterday. Even through this place is located in the Rachet, It’s next to the freeway to make a quick escape. For 2 large strips of Cod and fries it’s 15 bucks. Comes with tartar sauce and vinegar. Fries are ok.

The fish was fresh, cooked well, and the batter was on point-light and crispy. The fries were terrible, tasted like frozen Walmart steak fries. The atmosphere was terrible. The food was expensive, but the only thing good was the fish. If you just want fried fish, it’s a good place for that.

The BBC (British Broadcast Corporation) of Fish & Chips! That is a 12-inch ruler in the photo, and edge-to-edge these pieces exceed 11 inches. I am not frequently placated, let alone impressed. This place now holds the trophy for my North American fish and chips experience. Having lived in Great Britain decades ago, I miss the newspaper-wrapped fish and chips so perfectly prepared by the cankle-women. I ordered the Cod 3-Piece, expecting smaller portions. I did not receive smaller portions. I received satisfaction down to my soul. Perfection. And the batter: they nailed it! They even thoughtfully included malt vinegar, as well as three cups of tartar sauce (one of which I annihilated in an unrelated rage — that comes and goes, you know?). Despite whatever djinn that keeps me a prisoner in the spirit-crushing Midwestern ennui-fountain of California that is Sacramento, I now have a second reason to live, beyond my favorite chili cheese fries place on Broadway. Well played, Captain! (Oh, and bag was appropriately sealed with staples for delivery.)
