At our Oak Grove, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This place is spot on I am not kidding this is easily the best captain D’S I have ever been too! The nice lady that took my order to giving me exactly what I ordered and cooked to perfection. The inside is spotless and plenty of room to dine in. Great job it is a breath of fresh air to have a fast food in this area stay true to there values.

Only had two coworkers Devante and Latonya but they still had my food done in a timely manner and the two staff were very friendly I will be back

For 3 meals (catfish and 1 fish and 1 with shrimp) it cost $41.00 with NO drinks. I never recalled Captain D’s not including a drink with meals before this but I could have of used one after eating my meal. The fish and sides were very hot and received it promptly. Asked for particular sides, but didn’t receive what I wanted. Check your bag before pulling off!

Edit: the general manager was quick and great getting back to me which I really appreciate. They explained the restaurant is closed due to road construction and workers not being able to get to the restaurant I change my stars from a one to a 4 as it’s not their fault but still disappointed I couldn’t try their food this trip through 🙂

I try to give them another chance…. Apparently we are hard of hearing or don’t know how to take order or can’t read a screen directly in front of you to put a order together…
A district manager needs to reach out because this is nothing shy of pathetic!!! RETRAIN YOUR STAFF IT IS NOT HARD!!!

Great food and service but, the building has a strong chlorine smell once you first enter, I’m not sure if that’s on purpose or not but, if it’s not I hope the workers are okay because I don’t want them exposed to a gas leak no matter how good the food is.

Worst service ever. Manager doesn’t know how to process coupon given to me by the district manager. Manager was extremely rude. Manager refuse to give me her name. This was the second time I received horrible service. I’m done with Captain D’s and strongly suggest anyone reading this be done with Captain D’s also.
