At our Colorado Springs, CO location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I just had one of the best drive-thru experiences ever at Captain D’s, all thanks to Jason B.! From the moment he greeted me through the speaker, his friendliness and attention to detail stood out. He went above and beyond to make sure my order was perfect and made the whole experience genuinely enjoyable.
The food was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious, easily the best Captain D’s I’ve ever been to. Between the amazing service and great food, this location is hands down the best one around.

This is by far the best restaurant to eat at on Fillmore. No lies. It’s clean. The parking lot is clean. It’s safe. You have a easy entrance for handicap. I mean it is by far one of the most healthier options and cost efficient place to eat on Fillmore. You got my word on this. If I’m lying I’ll pay for it myself

Love this place and make it every time in area. Aside from the good ole food, this place really stands out with the people and service. Can’t recall his name but usually at the front and most people do know his name. I would call him a true asset and several others, but bottom line, fish and chips just like I recall growing up on and wish there were more. and at $5.99 for some of the best?!?! Come on!

I know it’s sheer audacity to seek seafood in a desert, but I stopped here one day with shellfish withdrawals that couldn’t be denied. Somehow every single time I’m at this location, whether mid-lunch-rush or for a random mid-afternoon hush puppy craving, the fish tastes fresh and crisp, the employees are kind, and it’s a quick stop.

The food was great. There were huge portions and it was reasonably priced. Also, the gentleman manning the cash register was also busy cleaning the lobby. In the 30 min it took for us to eat, he was in the lobby at least 6 times. The place is a little worn, but very clean.

Kinda funny how they’re obviously catering to a very specific demographic (oldies music from the 50’s and 60’s and everyone else here was twice my age) this is an excellent spot for quick and cheap fish n chips. The staff is genuinely friendly and provides great service. I stop here every time I’m in this part of town and never disappointed.
Oh and the D’s Dipping Sauce is to die for.

My two kids and I came in for my daughter’s 7th birthday and enjoyed a great dinner, as always. Afterwards, she wanted cake, so I asked if there was any kind of birthday dessert. Sam replied with the most kind, genuine, and generous response: “We don’t have anything like that, but I’ll buy her a piece of cheesecake.” I was stunned and asked if he was serious—he assured me he was. Not only did he buy her cheesecake, but he also started singing “Happy Birthday,” and I joined in.
The smile on my daughter’s face said it all—she felt so special, and it’s a memory she will never forget. Sam went above and beyond in a way that shows true kindness and care for customers. Thank you, Sam, for making my daughter’s birthday unforgettable and for showing what genuine customer service looks like!
