At our Alvin, TX location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Reviews
I returned to the restaurant within less than an hour to request a refund because the food quality was unacceptable. Unfortunately, the employee told me their system had “timed out” and that they could not issue a refund or even provide a gift card, and that the only option available was to remake the order. I declined the remake because if the issue was related to the fryer oil or preparation, another order prepared the same way would not solve the problem.
I left unsatisfied and without a resolution despite returning quickly with the food and receipt. I have since submitted a complaint to Captain D’s corporate customer service and hope they review the situation and address the food quality and customer service at this location.
It was obvious the restaurant had been there many decades. There was peeling chip on the walls, the booth seats were taped up, and it looked like the restaurant needed to be gutted and totally renovated. We will choose to go somewhere else to satisfy our fish craving. This was not the Captain D’s I remember.
