At our Benton, AR location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I almost never visited the D’s again “gasp”.. I rely really heavily on reviews but crave captain D’s like no other. I finally caved this holiday season as this location isn’t the one I grew up with so I was hesitant given the reviews. It’s great! It’s hard to find fish n’ chips in the South, everything else is catfish, not great, or super expensive. I’m very pleased. I visited here twice before making the review I don’t review often but I figured I would to help out my fellow picky eaters and leave my two cents. Hope this helps.

Scared to try mine but we already ordered. I did get a piece of shrimp on my plate tho so I appreciate that. The manager keeps yelling at the new girl telling her to drop 4 bags of popcorn shrimp for a drive thru order. I don’t think the new girl can multitask or maybe it’s too much for one person.

Edit: After a 6 month boycott, I thought maybe they have cleaned this place up, maybe they have better trained employees who actually care about their jobs, but I was wrong. This time I was parked in the parking lot to wait for small dinner. After 15 minutes of myself and several other customers sitting in the parking lot and no sign of our orders, I drove back around to get a refund. I was told it would take 3 days to get my money back. After my last poor encounter at this location I was never replied to by the owner when I contacted them, and nothing was done to correct the previous issue, so I should never have returned, and after this I will not come back to this location. 3 strikes and you’re out.
Tl;Dr: If you go to this business expect wait times of over 15 minutes and refund times of 3 days when they screw up your order. Good luck.
1:17pm Saturday August 19th, 2023. I was left waiting in the parking lot for 15 minutes by the rudest cashier “Cynthia.” I had to go inside after 15 minutes to get my food. I paid over $35 for a 10 piece family pack, with over $3 for a family side upgrade to okra, and all we got was a single side of okra. Also only received ONE cup of tartar sauce for A 10 PIECE FAMILY MEAL….. All thanks to the great “Cynthia.” I was then hung up on by the staff, probably this same “Cynthia,” after trying to get this corrected or get my money back. Will not be back. Do not go here if you want good food, good service or a good experience at all. Will be contacting the corporate office over this as well.

Used to be good. I didn’t get any broccoli. And no, I didn’t say anything cause if you can’t get it on my plate when I order it & it’s on a ticket in front of you, then why should I go back to get it? I paid $8 for the sorriest lobster roll I’ve ever seen. No flavor on a “blackened” tilapia. DO BETTER!!!!!!

Why do they park me everytime I order. Tonight they completely forgot about me, after they parked me. I ordered a fish and shrimp, just as I get every time. If they are clocking fast drive through times at corporate or whatever they think this is benefiting them, I would like to be the first to say “it is the worst”

We were given fish covered in old burnt fish batter crumbs because they don’t clean out their fryers! Absolutely disgusting! When I called the restaurant the phone had a busy dial tone. Even the next day I couldn’t get a hold of anyone! Won’t be going back here!!! They should be ashamed to serve food like that!!!

We ordered online and picked up tonight. I went inside to get the food and was greeted by the nicest young man. I don’t know if whomever is in charge will ever see this review, but if you do, the guy working the counter/register went out of his way to be welcoming and should be acknowledged for it! I wish everyone I met was as pleasant as he was.
The restaurant was clean and looked nice. Our order was ready on time and was packaged correctly, and nothing was missing. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly.
We live in Hot Springs, but it was worth the drive to get it, and I’ll definitely be back.

The food was expensive and most of the fish was batter. The batter was so thick that it couldn’t get done inside, very little fish in it. It should be illegal to sell fish that is actually more bread than it is fish. This picture is the breading I had left over from just 2 pieces of fish.
