At our Monroe, LA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Stayed i the drive through for almost 10 to 15 min waiting on someone to take my order no reply or announcement other cars behind me drove off so as I passed by the window the whole crew by the window talking and laughing its 7:20pm wasn’t even closing time smh

The service was excellent and they were super friendly…. The food on the other hand was not so good. Nothing had flavor and it was all bland. I know it’s not by any means the employees fault because everything comes prebattered and all they do here is fry it. So to the company, ya know this is Louisiana and we like flavor and seasoning… I won’t be stopping again simply because I paid way too much for stuff I didn’t eat… Been a while since I have stopped there and was really really disappointed in what I got….

The food was excellent. 5 stars for the food. The service on the other hand was absolutely horrible. I couldn’t even finish giving my order at the speaker because the lady wouldn’t let me. She was talking over me the whole time. I asked for plenty of tartar sauce. We got 6 pieces of fish, 8 hush puppies and fries. They gave me 3 tartar sauces. I asked for a Pepsi, I got an unsweetened tea. 2 of my tartar sauces they gave me were already open. I went in to get more tartar sauce, I asked for some, the lady went and grabbed some then told me to get it out of the dining room. I love the food here, it is always fresh. But having to deal with that service is ridiculous. Unfortunately, I won’t be back to this location until the service improves. I’ve worked fast food, it’s not the best. But giving horrible service is unnecessary.

No trip to Monroe is complete without a trip to Captain D’s! This seafood restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious dishes that are sure to satisfy any seafood lover. From their crispy fish and shrimp to their flavorful hush puppies, every bite is a delight. I highly recommend trying their famous batter-dipped fish and delicious sides. Overall, Captain D’s is a must-visit for anyone craving a tasty seafood meal! But if possible patronize their W. Monroe location, customer service at this location is needs improvement.
