At our Springfield, MO location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

For a while, around a year ago, for a few months or longer, they had difficulty getting the fish they had used for years. I believe they told me it was because of a different supplier.

This captin Ds is way better than the other location. Food is always hot and fast. Service is amazing, Evan the GM of this location always is outstanding and super friendly and easy to talk to. He cares about this restaurant and it shows, he was working front counter while helping in the kitchen and cleaning the lobby at the same time. Evan is the man and he deserves a raise for his hard work! We will be back

I recently visited Captain D’s and ordered a two piece meal with mozzarella sticks. My food was horrible. It was soggy, cold and old. I tried calling the store but it went straight to the operater and said no voicemail is set up. I couldn’t even call to explain my frustration. At this point I just want my refund. I spent almost $13 on old food.

Ordered a three-piece fish and a two-piece fish. My office is like two minutes away. The fish was cold. The fries are cold and hush puppies are cold never again while I go there and I recommend you guys don’t go neither the manager Evan is horrible.

We love going here with my in-laws. It is quiet and they are very kind. The food is good and comes with the little crispy bits from the fryer. We got the family meal. It came with Cole slaw, 10 pieces of fish that were about 6 inches long, and some hush puppies. Super yummy!

2 stars at best! Wait was really long…over 25 minutes. Chicken is the same chicken you can get in walmart deli. The divided 3 compartment take out trays are fine is you want your coleslaw to be nice and warm. And the crab cakes…..what a joke.
