At our Springfield, MO location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Waste of $16,.precious break time and gas. Undercooked fish, miniature specks of chicken compared to the usual Captain D’s fare, didn’t have enough fries done to actually complete the platter and asked me if is would be “okay” offering to bring some out later and blew it off instead of making enough fries, balanced the hushpuppies on top of everything so they immediately rolled onto the floor(which they saw and didn’t even offer to replace them). Deadbeat employees, slovenly/unkempt employees, food on floor in a nearly empty restaurant. Been eating at and enjoying the Sunshine location regularly and was shocked at how bad this location was.

Ordered online and when I brought my food back home and opened it this is what I’m met with. Another type of fish crumbles in my rice and on my salmon and rice to feed a toddler that was very hard. I moved it into a pile to show the ridiculously tiny portion. I haven’t eaten anything all day and spent far too much for this. Tried to call the store to talk to a manager and didn’t get through and mailbox isn’t set up. Severely disappointed. I drove from nixa just for this tonight as well.

I don’t honestly know anything about the atmosphere because I went through the drive through. I do know that the gentleman who waited on me was the nicest person I have ever met at this location. Not that anyone hadn’t been nice here, he just stood out that much. Keep up with what you are doing sir, sometimes we need it more than you know. Thank you.

The food was not that great but the lady at the window was super nice. You can tell she wasn’t back in the kitchen. Step up your game. I haven’t been to Captain D’s for a while for a reason. Not much has changed. Food should be hot in the middle of lunch hour at least.

I went to this location with my grandmother, we got two of the fish meals. It was okay, the cashier was nice but he seemed a bit scattered. As we sat down there was a man who was mopping, the cashier guy wanted us out of there. We told him three times that we were eating in (it was around 5-6 oclock) so they weren’t anywhere near closing. He put our stuff in a bag and sealed it up, we went and sat down and after a bit we heard some coworkers yelling at eachother about how they are doing their jobs. A man who I assume is the manager started arguing very loudly with the cook, complaining about how he was cooking? Idk it was overall not a pleasant experience.

This location is really getting run down and needs a remodel. The food was okay. They were out of bottles of vinegar. The floor had water standing in front of the condiments and drink machine. The women’s restroom was out of order.

It has been about a year since I last ate at Captain D’s. Very disappointed in the meal, today. The chicken and fish planks are about 1/3 the size they were a year ago. The chicken , fries, and hush puppies were greasy and tasteless. The Cole slaw was good, but that’s about it. I won’t be back.
