At our Hazelwood, MO location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

My experience at this location has been the best each & every time! The customer service in my opinion has been top notch compared to other fast foods that I’ve tried in this area & surrounding.
They’re always respectful & courteous & my food has always been hot, crispy & fresh! I had to let the guy who took my order know how great they’ve been don’t. I think he’s the manager but not sure.
I will continue to eat here.

03/28/2025: No description needed. Just look at the receipt, which is what it’s supposed to be, and look at the pic. Very disappointed. And I was sad to see another review saying the exact same thing. I had just returned home on my lunch break so I couldn’t leave again and take it back. Honestly, i wanted it to be made over and fresh. SMH. Probably my last time going to this location….maybe even Cap D’s period! This has happened one other time in the past. I paid good money but didn’t get a good meal.

Would yall just look at these little chicken things they want to call chicken strips in this $16.50 meal. Not like the picture at all, breaded completely different and they are so small. The shrimp are so overcooked that I cut my finger when one stabbed me as I reached for my food. I also got 6 hushpuppies for $5.49. Also, it is not fresh or worth the price. I can tell the extra hushpuppies were already prepared and set to the side waiting while my hushpuppies in the sampler are the freshest thing on that plate. Order with caution. This is not worth the price at all. Especially if you are getting it delivered. Yes, I paid $3.49 extra for it to come straight to me, and it was still not hot.

First time visiting here and ordered o line. Got to the drive thru and told to come to the window in which they had me waiting for over 10 mins. When I actually received my food it wasn’t what I ordered I was missing my fries and chicken, the shrimp looked like something out of a horror film. If you are out of food stop the online orders and tell customers that you cant fulfill their order. Im stuck with something that i cant eat and they played with my food and my time.

I’ve visited this location 5 times in the past 3 months. Every time I received the best customer service even with different faces each time. From the younger workers to the older workers. Living in north county I’m certain you will agree that customer service is almost non existent here. People keep in mind they serve hundreds of orders a day. Mistakes will happen . We need these kind of people to serve us. Let them have a chance to make it right.

Today is not Labor Day I had to repost this because I put it on the wrong Captain D’s I visited the location on North Lindbergh in Hazelwood, florissant area but I was there on Labor Day, apologies to the staff at Captain D’s…..
Today is Labor Day Happy Labor Day out there. Everyone at Captain D’s WOW, great job and thank you to the staff for working and doing it greatly. It is much appreciated to order and get it with everyone behind the window smiling I had even ordered a shake witch was good as hell by the way”Oreo shake” after i ordered and paid for my food on top of it all. It always great hot and fast. I got the sample planner by the way.

This place is never open when it should be. There’s always signs on the drive thru that their closed for the day or won’t open until later in the day. Plus, there is no dining room.

Food is good, but they don’t have funnel cakes at this location & and were told to go online to get a refund (since I ordered online). The site said for order issues, contact the store. There isn’t any way to get a refund online for the funnel cake.

Staff does not fulfill orders properly. The 3 meals that I purchased came with a small drink but the staff behind the counter said the meals do not include a drink. I purchased 3 meals they only gave me 2 meals I didn’t realize that until I got home.

Loved it! Oh my goodness! Ordered the family meal & it was delicious! Everything fresh! The meal came with 12 fish, 12 shrimp, 3 stuffed crab shells, 12 hush puppies, & 2 HUGE sides all for a reasonable price! I also couldn’t resist the fried okra! The customer service was excellent! This is an express location so only to go orders. Will definitely be going back for more!
