At our Seymour, IN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Me and my family doesn’t normally eat here but we thought it was our granddaughter birthday so we decided to eat there. The fish tasted like wadded up paper towels. The chicken was so bad my wife only ate one bite of it. The fries were good but everything thing else wasn’t including the pop it was out of ice so all the pops were flat. Almost $90 and no one ate but a few bites. Never ever again.

I ordered delivery through DoorDash. They didn’t tell the dasher they were out of gumbo. The bag wasn’t sealed and was clearly underweight, so he should’ve noticed that there was no gumbo inside and mentioned it to them. Instead, my order was dropped off and I discovered not only that I had no gumbo and no change in my total, but also, I paid almost $10 for about 6 ounces of mac and cheese. Those 3 or so ounce cups are $4.59 each. Rip-off.
When I informed dasher of the missing gumbo and a copy of my receipt, he went back and finally was told they were out. They offered more overpriced sides as alternatives after I had to ask what options I had for alternatives.
I got a refund, thanks to DoorDash customer support. The only good part of my experience with Captain D’s is that my kids liked what little of the breaded okra and mac and cheese they got. But I have no intention of ordering from them again. They’re severely overpriced and they seem to think they can get away with charging customers for something they never receive.
Update: after owner or whomever told me to contact guest services, never heard back like I was supposedly going to. So if the owner says to leave feedback and wait for a reply on the website they give, don’t bother. They’re just trying to act like they care about their customer base. They clearly don’t.

Do yourself a favor dont bother ordered a family meal via website they didn’t send over half the meal that my husband didn’t get. Called them to let them know young man put it down to come following day which I was ok with. Fast forward to day 2 my husband went to get missing shrimp chicken and hush puppies from our family meal they gave him portions for single meal.

I want to give no stars but that isn’t an option the food was horrible I got 3 pieces of chicken that was little as nuggets and 2 bites of Mac & cheese & the coke slaw was dry all u can taste is cabbage it was horrible.

I keep wanting to like this place. Literally every time I’ve tried ( 4 in all) something is wrong. This time- fries were soggy and droopy. Blackened tilapia came with no seasoning.
They have a great menu and staff is nice- just wish they’d get it together.

While our food was good, the two orders that we had were confused. You could tell that needed training had not been offered or taken seriously by those working. This was evident even when tables were being cleaned. No disinfectant was used. A dry rag was used on all tables but only in areas where crumbs were located. The whole table was not sanitized. No correction or direction was given except to clean up the dining area. Then again only half was done and then the work stopped.
