At our Clarksville, IN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I stopped by here the other night hoping to order a new item, jambalaya. Unfortunately I was informed that there was no ship. Jambalaya contains shrimp. but items like this often come pre-packaged from a vendor. Anyway, I had to order something else which was good, but I will have to find another Captain D’s to get the try this out. The employees were pleasant, and I got my food fairly quickly.

New management stinks. 3 customers walked out while I was there. The one employee who was working was in tears. The manager on duty flat out lied to me, when I called her on it she told me if I didn’t like her attitude I should leave. Refused to give her name or corporates name. Congrats Capt D’s you all got a real winner this time. Sad because the place used to be good.

Sat in drive thru for over 20 minutes because manager was in restroom and needed her to reopen drawer to give me my change. Got home food was wrong and cold mind u I live less than 3 minutes from the restraunt. No reason my good should have been cold. Not even warm at that. Tried calling yo speak to a manager to give her the opportunity to make this right but goes straight to voice-mail over and over. They must have it set that way to never answer their calls.

Tj and the kitchen are absolutely amazing!! Above and beyond! We were traveling from Florida to Indiana and stopped at this Gem!! It was so good we forgot to take a picture until it was almost all gone.

WARNING! They use swai fish now which is more dense and tastes like chicken, but research shows it’s very unhealthy. It doesn’t taste anything like fish and of course, is cheaper for the company to use. The lady at the counter was very nice and working by herself during a busy lunch hour. She was great but the fish was awful. I won’t be back.

I have had two fantastic meals there in the last week. Chicken tenders with fries and hush puppies. I had to wait for my food a few minutes but it was fresh out of the fryer. The chicken has a great taste. The fries are the best fast food fries in my opinion.

We were going through the drive through. The female said to hold on before taking our order. No other car was in the drive through. My husband asked what came in the five dollar meal. She said two pieces of fish and fries. He asked if he could get corn on the cob instead. She said he could. She said the total was $7 something. He asked how is it that price. She said with a major attitude, because you asked for corn on the cob. I usually don’t leave reviews, but this person had a major attitude from the start. My husband did say you must not be able to understand English. She said ” get out of my drive through I’m not waiting on you!” As we were leaving she was hanging out of the window staring at us. If a person asks if they can exchange something and it is going to be an upcharge, you should let them know.
