At our Anderson, IN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We had dinner on a Friday night. The staff were very friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in. The food was fresh and very hot. While we were there Genesis was cleaning the dining room. She and her team cleaned every surface in the dining room. They moved the booths, tables, and everything to make sure it was all clean. They did a great job! We will definitely be back.

I had an opportunity to pickup a “Seafood Family Feast” tonight. Was greated when I entered and everyone went out of their way to be nice. I remembered to change the fish to a 1/2 batter and 1/2 country after placing the order. “No problems” and the gentleman at the counter made the change.
Was very impressed with everyone I met and they are a credit to this restaurant. It is rare to find such amazing service these days. The fish/shrimp was also perfectly cooked and will definitely be back!

I been going to this place for a long time and I will continue so. I always gotten a good or above meal each time and overall good service. I don’t like fast food but this one stands out to me. My opinion best spot in Anderson.

My wife and I came to try this place out. We had both never been here, and I told the manager Braden this. He was so accommodating and friendly!! It was so good that I went back 30 minutes later for more!! Top notch food and service, and I would highly recommend it! Best experience at a “fast food” place ever!

The food was decent but nothing special. The fish was cooked fine, but the portion sizes felt a little small for the price. Service was just okay — not rude, but not particularly attentive either. The dining area could have been cleaner, as some tables were left dirty for a while. Overall, it’s not a bad spot for a quick meal, but it didn’t stand out enough to make me want to come back often.

I am not really a fan of Captain Ds, but my wife loves it. However, this location is a huge exception for me. The restraunt is clean, the service is great and that atmosphere is nice. This is a very well managed restraunt. The food was great…. updating 2 years later. Still amazing. Super impressed with the cleanliness. The staff is hard working. Continually cleaning and always attentive to the needs of the customers. Well done.
