At our Middletown, OH location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I made an online order. They called me and told me that they were out of tartar sauce and french fries. What?!? How is a fish and chips place out of their main items? I told the manager to cancel. She said they couldn’t. She asked me to choose a different side. I asked for a loaded baked potato. She said she couldn’t do that because it cost more. Again — what?! You’re the manager. You’re out of what I ordered and you can most certainly replace it with something else. Until this place gets another manager, I’ll get my fish elsewhere.

Most times my experiences here are good but there is one man when he is on drive thru moving forward I will leave each and every time. The last time I went there was Thursday evening around 430- 440. He talks rude and fast after you say what meal you want me don’t even ask you the sides he just says pull around. I pulled on off that day that was my second encounter with him and I was over it. New flash you applied for the job and since you clearly don’t like it you can quit and move on. I’m not sure if he knows this or not unless he is being held there against his will. It’s not that hard to take an order especially if the customer is not even being rude it’s just you being rude. Won’t be back to this location for a while and I don’t live far from it smh

We went this Captain d and we thought we will tried the new fried oysters and we got them took them to car the odor off them was horrible. I took them back in and said I would like a refund for 8 dollars and they said you have to call corporate which I did and still didn’t get a response from them this is pathetic for eight dollars.DO NOT GET THE FRIED OYSTERS!!! They were rude and unfriendly.

Arrived to captain ds when we where told only the drive through was open. After going through the drive through the girl had a attitude and didn’t sound happy she had to do her job.. once we got our food we where missing a item even after waiting for 30+ minutes.

I travel to Middletown every other week and this place has become my go-to for a delicious meal. I was afraid they would be closed today because of the snow but they were there with a friendly smile and the best lunch I’ve had in a while. The 3 ladies working risked their safety to make it to work, and still served their customers like they were family. Thank you

I’ve stuck by this location even though it’s gone down the hill over the last few years but today was the last straw. Terrible food and worse service. Management needs to address their unprofessional staff and their rude behavior. I recommend making the trip to the Monroe/Tylersville location.

I saw their sign advertising the return of lobster rolls, bites and bisque. I had to stop since I haven’t tried their bisque before. I am so glad I stopped. Everything tasted great and the woman working the drive thru window was so sweet.

Understaffed for the amount of business this place does. Food was fast food quality fish. It seemed like it was possibly a franchise that can use whatever fish fillets it wants because the portions were huge but it looked like fish that was filleted and breaded at the store. I have never seen a fast food fish place with these types of fillets before. They were good but not at all what I have ever bought from any other captain d’s. The portions were huge though. Drive through took about 30 minutes because 2 ladies were running drive through & the inside & possibly helping in the back as well.

Cashier was alittle rude because she had about 10 customers in line waiting to order. Maybe she needed a smoke break or something. And the manager just did not have control of her crew at all. Food was delicious once I got it.
