At our Columbus, OH location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I ordered a family size okra and 2 pieces of fish and this is what I got The fish was hard as a Brick! I paid $17 for this mess.. What family can I feed with this little bit of okra & the fish is not sitting on top of any! Wasted my damn money.. NEVER AGAIN wish I could give 0 stars

The fish was horrible
I ordered a 4pc fish dinner. The fish was burnt and you could taste the burnt oil. Don’t ever order from here. I wish I could include the picture. The picture is posted on the doordash app review. You won’t believe your eyes. I can’t believe a restaurant would actually sell someone food in that condition. I have tried several times to fill out the form on the website provided in response to this and it doesn’t work. I am unable to put the one star for overall experience so it won’t submit. This was a total waste of time. Still no resolution

I will NEVER go to another Captain D’s again!!! I didn’t realize until AFTER I started eating my fish. At first, I thought it was just dirty on the bottom, but when I moved the crumbs, THE STYROFOAM WAS COMPLETELY MELTED THRU THE BOX!!! I literally started feeling sick and realized that was why when I took a bite of the fish and spit it out!!! I literally was in the bathroom vomiting for 2 HOURS!!! I got a takeout order of fish and fries combo. It tasted not bad with too much oil. Sadly there was no sauce in my bag.
I dined in at my second visit. Their fish and shrimp combo is still really cheap with a great size. The service was fast and friendly. The dining room was clean and bright. But the food temperature was a little cold and tasted mediocre.

Went today and ordered the 5.99 2 pc fish and side. Food was all fresh and hot. I was given fries when I asked for Cole slaw. Refused a small cup of water! I can’t eat fries or drink soda! This is the 3rd time of having my order wrong and then they refuse me a cup of water? Done for life.

So I came into this location on Tuesday May 14th at about 8:15 a.m.. ordered a 20 piece butterfly shrimp which cost me somewhere around $20. I even told the cook beforehand what I was ordering because I also work in the kitchen and I know how sometimes we like to have a heads up. The Cook acknowledges the 20 piece butterfly and then the young lady proceeded to take my order. Instead of the 20 piece butterfly I received four piece butterfly with two chicken, two hush puppies, macaroni and cheese and broccoli. Clearly not what I ordered!!! I tried to call and let them know there was a mess up and no one answered the phone. Realizing how restaurants work cuz I work in one I didn’t think they would answer the phone so I just took a picture of my food and figured I would pick it up with them tomorrow since I always come this route. Instead of admitting that they were wrong and correcting the situation I was instead hit with “if you don’t have a receipt we can’t replace the meal. After letting sue know that the employee did not give me a receipt she still insisted on not giving me what I ordered even after showing her what I received. I thought the customer was always right but apparently I was wrong. I even offered to show her the transaction on my bank account to prove I didn’t need a free meal and I did make a transaction here yesterday which she refused. No argument… I asked for her corporate number, her name and her position and left
