At our Russellville, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

My last order from here literally tasted like bleach. I got a fish and chicken plate, my chicken was perfect but the fist tasted like bleach. The other two meals I got at the same time (for my children) seem to have been fine.

They served us rotten fish. When we showed the manger that our fish was rotten ( it thawed out and rotted then fried) we were told there was nothing they could. They refused to remake our order or refund us . We lost 50 bucks and had to go find somewhere else to eat. Didn’t even get a chance to eat . We won’t be back the heavy set manger was disrespectful. We come here twice a week but after being treated like that we won’t be back. The worst part of all of this was my wife just took her insulin prior to eating and then we had to go somewhere else before her sugar crashed

I ordered two chicken and fish combos for 5.99 each in drive thru. Left and went to the park to eat. When we opened the Togo boxes one was somewhat normal except everything was just tossed in( see pic) and the other wasn’t but the chicken( if you want to call it that) was literally 2 bites( see other pic). And they forgot to give us our drinks. I paid $12.70 for that?!?! Bet that won’t happen again!

Owner posts to contact them at website but it does absolutely nothing. Almost like a survey. May as well just say ” who cares? Not us.”

Owner contacted me via phone. Apologized and offered to send vouchers to replace meals. However nothing has been sent at all. And I actually believed him. I must be stupid. If anyone goes to Captain D’s do so at the risk of getting ripped off. I know I’ll never spend my money there again.

Well it’s been over a month since I was promised vouchers to replace my meals and yet I’ve still yet to receive them. Also I’ve yet to get a response from owner/manager. It’s obvious that customer service is the last thing on his mind. So far I’ve never been disrespected by a restaurant as bad as this. My opinion is they just don’t care. If I could give negative 10 feedback I would. I will be giving a negative review every time I review live. Be sure to check in.

Owner got ahold of me again and said corporate is to blame and that I can just come in and pick up my replacement meals. I did and everything was spot on. I got what I paid for and it only took a couple of months. Lol. But at least he made good.

Visited Sunday evening. I found a 4 inch long worm in my grilled fish. Manager said we get that complaint alot. Did not even look at it. Family left sick and disgusted. It has been over a month since this visit. No response from anyone.
